For those Dreadlands tasks whose normally chain zone run through PoK, I manually specified intermediate /zones to avoid the problem. Takes longer to complete the task? Aye, but who cares: still finishes within 15 minutes.

In particular, note the ones that head to City of Mist as they traverse through Field of Bone. The "quickest" route will /gate through PoK to Field of Bone. Add a /zone lakeofillomen /call Zoner in front of the /zone fieldofbone and you'll avoid PoK.

....same problem on the way back at the conclusion of the task, especially if the task completes in Emerald Jungle. I /zone fieldofbone, /zone lakeofillomen in front of the final /zone dreadlands.
 
Ok I’ve been working hard at this the 65 shroud is working real well so no changes to that. I've got 50 shroud working just as well (12 quests takes a while to go thru) no mess ups in 24 hrs. They need a lot of work
I also added a couple lines of code to make you hide after the 15 breather. In the previous version it would just sit there un-hidden. This way you have a chance if someone trains marana.
Also Put in extra waypoints cause some tasks were missing them. So you will have to recopy your piggy ini file. Also changed the saying to just "task", cause it just looked weird seeing "May I have a task?." Makes it more like human like I think.
I also am working on all quests so they don’t go thru the POK. This I believe is a ban waiting to happen. 50 shrouds done working on the rest. (65 are safe)

I wanted to run a couple ideas by you guys about making these even safer. I was thinking that what usually catches these macros is the other players seeing you blip in and out. When your zoneing from say dreadlands to COM to start task you go thru 6 zones.

Well I was thinking of adding more waypoints to the piggy ini that are under the ground. Just enough so your name and character are hidden from view. So when you are going thru FV, LOIO, ect characters would not be able to see you.

So a couple ?s for some of you.

1. Do you think this is a good idea?

2. while underground will I start falling? (due to nothing to stand on) To the death?

3. Do you think it will update task too if im underground?

4. Alatyami is this ok im updating this? I know this is your baby.

5. When you zone into a warp point does it zone into succor then warp you to the loc? Or does it just zone you right to the point?

6. /If it does zone to succor then warp is the character visible when it first zones it at the succor point?

7. Do you want me to post what ive done so far? Then as I update it post also? Or save it up?

Anyways awaiting feedback.

Ps sorry for all the questions, just trying to save time on the knowledge of others that prolly have this implemented anyways. This is a huge task so bear with me

OK here is 50 55 60 and 65 shrouds done. Also included the .mac file too cause i cleaned it up and added the hide sneak after the breather. Oh and no more POK pop in and outs. working on 60 next

|~ Welcome to the Advanced Taskmaster Warp version.  Why advanced?  Becuase back
|~ in July 2005 I made one with a different UBER title "AutoTask".  I made some
|~ major updates and then it became AdvTaskWarp. This macro requires the use of
|~ active hacking. Meaning that it uses the MQ2Zone and MQ2Warp plugins to
|~ warp you through the zone to complete the tasks. DISCLAIMER: Although few
|~ have been banned for the use of this macro, other players will turn you in
|~ if they see you warping around all over the place, so don't be stupid.

|~ I have a nice running list of MQ2 players in EQIM ... how did I get it? Simple,
|~ I sat in Dreadlands for a couple of days on multiple servers and did a
|~ /friend to everyone using the request phrase "/say Can I have a task?". It
|~ was a dead give away that some was using the macro.
|~ 1. Scroll down to "/declare TaskRequest string outer Can I have a task?"
|~    and change the phrase to your custom saying.
|~ 2. Scroll down to "/declare SpamMax int outer 8" and change the value to
|~    the max number times you want your toon to spam your task master before
|~    taking a 15 min break.
|~ 3. Target the taskmaster that you wish to use.
|~ 4. In your MQ2 window type the following: "/mac advtaskwarp"
|~    and hit the <enter> key.
|~ 5. Now get up from your chair and go to the frig and get a Guiness, if you
|~    are out of Guiness then go to the store and get some while your character
|~    rakes in the XP/AAXP.

got your update prob i see is the timer is to fast for some reson i would go to task giver and it would tell me i would have to wate 0:0:0 more min befor next task i have no clue maybe add another min to it or 30sec ?
 
so what am i doing wrong here...im standing in front of the NPC in DL and started advtaskrunner2 and it just keeps asking for a task, it doesnt accept the task just asks 8 times then say im taking a breather and doesnt get a task
 
You have to mark tasks in the ini to 1 rather than 0, otherwise it won't accept them. It also won't accept any tasks that are not in the ini or that are in there and have a 0 next to them.
 
Are you still working on the lower lvl Task? Like from 24 to 50 etc.... I been trying to get them to work, but, blah, Please let me know. Thanks
 
Iceman i am curently working on all of them. 50 55 60 65 are done atm. This is very time consumming. Alot of the the loc have been changed/dont exist, so its been fun. The main thing ive been working on is underworld zoneing so we are not seen. Ill start at 20 tasks today and see if i can go from there. 50-70 got done first cause i need a toon up fast for raids lol.
 
Ok lvl 20 shroud the only task i can find /zones in and out of POK (part of the task requires you to talk to someone in the pok). I looked over the code and its good but i refuse to test it cause way to risky. moving on to 25
 
Someoneorsomething deserves alot of RedCents for the amount of time he is putting forth into this macro. I know him personally and I know he uses it alot, and I always /petition him but them GM's never log on Luclin. Right now I am running a mac to get my bard to 40 and then going to start shrouding and using the macro so I can get him to 70 in less than a month without any work required.

In the end, more RedCents to him! Thanks bud.
 
is this being worked on still since the patches it has been broken it will get task /zone to first point then just stand there without going to the next step the mac is still running and ive tryed changeing the waypoints now im lost and dont know what todo besides go watch TV lol Thanks for all the time spent on this Gem!
 
I am starting work on this again. I will post what i got in 2 days. i will work backwords of course. 65 shrouds first. then 60 and so on. And marbury thanks :)

The last patch proke this macro because the task step status messages are no longer being sent "echoed" to the message window. Instead, the status messages are simply flashing up in the middle of the screen. The macro relies on a triggered event firing off when this status message is received. No message, no event...and no further progress.

I temporarily re-coded my version of this macro to "assume completion" when you arrive in the designated location for that step. "Assume" translated into "add a brief delay"...not very cutsie, but it's working flawlessly. If there is a more elegant method for capturing the presence of the flash message, I'll be eager to hear about it.

The flashing message is either traffic from the server or triggered to display locally by a flag from the server. Is this something that a plugin in could handle? Watch for specified traffic and /echo a message? This is definitely beyond my skill with C++ or knowledge of EQ's inner-workings, but I think others here might have significant insights.
 
That is exactly what im reasearching. How to recognize the popup. Or to read the quest window. IF not i will go thru and just add delays. 1 more day and ill post.
 
What exactly is the purpose of this ? Does it net exp ? I'm a little confused on this one. :confused:
 
Well at 65 with full aa it nets 6 aa and 3200 PP in a 12 hr run. At 75 it nets 2 aa and 3400 pp. VERY dangerous mac for little xp. Uses about 75+ /zones in a 12 hr run.
 
nice to see it worked on again though (Mostly just a custom title check sorry, and of course its not changed yet )
