Problem - Adding a custom HoT to a ranger in ultimate eq

On Ultimate EQ there is a ranger HoT that lasts 2 mins and shows up in song window. I have manually applied it with the normal long duration buff to make sure they both work concurrently. I have it set in a new AbilitySet block with a new entry in SpellList and that works fine. As for casting, I've tried adding it to HealRotations and HealRotationOrder (with AI help) to no avail. Scrapped that idea and tried to add it as a combat buff using a new Buff block (didn't work) and in a ClassCheck block (Also no dice). I also clicked off the normal long duration HoT to make sure it wasn't viewing that as a blocking spell. Still nothing with any of these methods. Any ideas on this? Going to try a different AI, just been using Gemini and it's been fine for any customization until this.

If you are using AI I recommend you take a look at the AI instructions that I wrote, there's a sticky about it on the mercs forum.

When testing this script I was not impressed with Gemini compared to the other options I cited. Note that this was using free accounts, no subs.

It's hard to say what's going wrong without any file, but if you don't have luck elsewhere perhaps hit us up on Discord and we can help you get it sorted in real-time.

Edit: there are other configs that keep uptime on hots like some shaman and cleric abilities. You may want to have a look at them for inspiration.

Thanks, I'm running it through claude right now instead. As good as gemini seemed for basic stuff, claude is clearly much better at coding even from only doing this one thing. I'm definitely going to look at a cleric config to see how they handle it now that I've learned a bit.

Claude got it working, sort of. The fact that it's in the song window made that a chore. Had to straight put it on a timer.
