Gar, that is a beautiful write up !Every path is unique to each player. When I started back up in 2020 after a 18+ year hiatus.
My first 2 weeks were just researching possible approaches on how to get started, eventually you learn, jumping in is the only way to go. I still had my old druid, during my absence my friend Heroic up my druid to 85th level.
Airtable tables to help me along my way it is my ghetto database:
- First thing I did was kill all the old Raid bosses, I raided back in 02, so all the old Luclin Raid. I hit a wall at SSRA
- Next, I started power leveling my group around my druid to assist in SSRA.
- This was a great opportunity to learn how to move my characters around, position them and just get used to controlling a group.
- Sic’s intro video changed everything for me Sic's Basic MQ2 Guide Video
- Around this point, I was hooked and wanted to do more old school raids with my team, during this period of time I found: Allakhazams Raid Progression Guide
- Doctor Nachoz videos library came in handy at this point, link to all playlist on Free to play all the way:
- Fine tuning was part of my process and learning what was important to me.
- Looting will be an issue, learn MQ2Autoloot and have 1 dedicated masterlooter.
- Download the ini
- Get to learn about character files and acronyms & EQ Settings, this is explained in Almars Guide
