One of the task type quests in South Ro, The Great Caiman Issue, given by Dimbwicket Middifoodle, gives about 30% of a level in the teens, and is supposedly good exp up through the 30s. The task is simply killing 15 caimans, then hailing the gnome again.

The upshot to this is, you still get credit for the caimans in a raid. I took my level 15 guy and joined him in a raid with my 70 warrior. Get the task, go chop off 15 gator heads in about 2 minutes, bam - 30% of a level. Caimans and Deepwater Caimans both give credit for the quest, and crocs and dwc's will serve as placeholders if you run out of Caimans to kill.

Taking this a step further, I have tried some other task type quests aimed at level 30-40, and I have found so far that any of them that require killing things do give you credit in a raid for the killing. The problem is that I haven't found any other ones yet that are all killing - no looting, going to trigger points, etc. Please post 'em up if you find any - and I will too, as I am still looking :)

Ok, so if it works in raid, then what about in group? If that's the case, then this would be an easy PL tool.

Easy PL tool as is ... just form a raid of 2 people.

Shouldn't matter anyway since the exp comes from the task being completed, not from the killing of caimans.

Edit : just confirmed as working in a group, too - regardless of level. Exp comes from task and isn't shared.

I dont think it would be too hard to write a macro for both toons for this, one to kill, one to get the task. Starting on it right now :p
 
No one mentioned that this Task requires you to have the PoR expansion.

Do we happen to have a list of the non PoR expansion Taskmasters by zone and level of the character you are playing? I have searched around and found nothing.
 
I'll have to go and try this out tonight :) Sounds like an easy way to PL my toon.

Actually you can group with a lvl 1, only 46+ will get xp with a lvl 70 in a group.
 
Again, group xp and level spread does not apply. The person who gets the task gets the entire xp reward, regardless of who is in the group with him, or even in a full raid.
 
No. When you hail the gnome at the end, he gives you your experience, then a large caiman named Razortooth spawns and chases him to the North Ro zoneline. Once he gets to the Nro zone, he repops back at his original spot. If you hail him for exp, then immediately follow with the trigger phrase "clear the beach", he will grant you the task again before he gets chased off. You can do the quest as fast as you can kill 15 caimans. If you have more people doing it together, it goes even faster.

Where's my 64,000 pp ? :)
 
This gave a level 32 5% xp - I know you can do much better faster but wondered how many other task out there that could be done same way - any one have/know a link for info on all tasks givers, 5% xp for a minutes work without buffing or huge trains - great :)
 
One that I'm going to try is given by an erudite in Lavastorm. Can't remember his name. Hang a left when you zone in from nek and he's near the gypsy camp past the druid ring. Billed as a level 30's task, but my level 18 was able to accept it. He gives 3 tasks - one is for cinder goblin hides. You have to kill 20 cinder goblins - I've tested this - you get the credit in group, or raid, with any level spread. The problem on this one is that you need to loot 10 hides and turn them in as well. There is a batch of cinder goblins near the zone to naggy's lair. My plan is to try pulling them to that zoneline with my high level character, wipe them out, and let the lower level character loot them there at the relative safety of the zoneline. I don't know what kind of experience this one will get yet. If someone else wants to give it a try in the meantime and post your results, that'd be great :)

I was getting 35%-ish for my level 15 toon. In about 3 minutes of work with my 70sk. So I'm guessing in about 2 hours or less you can hit lvl 20 just by killing Caimans in South Ro.

edit: boxed my level 4 with my lvl 70, completed one of these tasks using the mnk, and gained 4 lvls! Now level 8 :)

Explaination for why it will work for a lvl 1 in a group with a lvl 70:

Once the level one accepts the task, they're designated for XP for that task and the tier that XP is on for their level. Its just like being in an Arcstone group for something like Relic Shopkeeper's Earring/Ring (Depending on Class) where you need to have a certain amount of mobs you have to kill. You can sit there AFK and the quest still thinks that you've been there all along while your group kills the mobs for you. In the end you still get the reward.

Haha I just did this with a level 1 character - he started with 1 blue from turning in his guild note. He did caiman quest once - went immediately to level 8 with 44% into it lol.
 
You can also concurrently run the Sand Giant Elite and Leaders tasks given by Tacots Silentblade (he stands by the campfire next to a hut by the beach). Just get the Caiman and Sand Giant quests and have a higher level go wipe out the SG's in SRo. There is a camp of 10 of them in sro and a camp of 5 in NRo. Once that camp is killed ... have the group zone into NRo and kill that camp as well. 15 SG's will net some great xp, Freeport faction, and some plat.
Once you have your 15 giants, go back to Tacots and just say "Elite" to get the task again. Rinse and repeat.
I usually have a lower level on the beach clearing the Caimans while a higher level is taking care of the giants.
 
datwater just send a pm to cade or one of the other ocifers here. I'm sure theyd be happy to help you change that. Somewhere recently I read something about that exact problem you have with e-mail username
 
Can't figure it out but still cannot get this to work with a level 2 toon. Both have all expansions and can get mission solo but not a combined task.
 
its not a combined task, add one toon to the others raid, not group....get task on lower level dude, or both, take high level toon kill stuff.

i had a lvl 34 baby toon in grp and they got 3.12% reg exp.

this quest would be good for grinding through those first couple of levels...

and maybe even for some AFK PL exp.

at least the PLer would get something out of it .. instead of nothing.



would not be hard to write a macro for the PLer and PLed toons... just not sure its worth it
