HuntBuddy 2.31 - the zone data rebuild
The version numbers changed. HuntBuddy used to use three-part numbers like 2.3.90. It now uses two-part numbers. 2.31 looks smaller than 2.3.90 but it is the newer build - same script, renumbered. Next ones are 2.32, 2.33 and so on.
Two things after updating: your saved theme resets once - just pick it again, all the old ones are still there. And if you installed by hand, delete
- The zone list was rebuilt from scratch. Every zone, level range and experience number now comes from a named source instead of a hand-typed table - MacroQuest's own zone list, the ProjectEQ database, and the game files on your own PC.
- All 33 expansions now included - 571 zones, Classic through Shattering of Ro. The newest thirteen expansions were missing entirely before.
- Level ranges come from the monsters actually in each zone, excluding decorative wildlife, merchants, guards and quest NPCs. A newbie zone with two level-50 guards at the entrance is still a newbie zone. A range of
--means no data exists, not that the zone is empty.- New Hot Zone tab showing all three possible hot zones for every bracket, 20 to 105, with the active ones highlighted.
- Travel to any zone with a Go button on every row, plus Group Travel, Stop and Pause (needs MQ2EasyFind).
- Four tabs - Zones, Hot Zone, Settings and Help - and eleven themes including four new map palettes.
- Fixes: zones with no level info were invisible (18 of them); the level filter capped at 125 and hid all of Shattering of Ro; 272 zones were missing on Live; typing
(in the name filter crashed the window; marking a favourite could mark a second unrelated zone.themes.luaandtheme_loader.luafrom yourlua/huntbuddy/folder; they're no longer used.
