How do people not see the benefit of this? Have you guys not done insane grinds on your main for things like Artisans Prize, 350 tradeskills, heroic AAs? Countless illusions, mounts, familiars? Slayer achievements? Do you really want to open up 5000 more boxes on an alt to get the slayer...
Something I've been pondering recently. How willing are you to invite a total stranger into your group? Do you think the average person would care that you are automating? Do you think the average person even knows what automation looks like?

Maybe it's just the nostalgia, but I love the world and lore. It's a very fun place to live in. A lot of that has gone away in the recent expansions, but it's still there if you look for it.
It's also nice that there is just SO many things to do to advance your character, arguably too many...
You need to get to the point where you don't need a shield to tank asap. From there stay dual wielding unless you absolutely have to use a shield. Dual wielding is basically like the reason to play a War in the group game vs a SK or PAL. Its a hybrid tank/dps weapon specialization.

I'm sure they are fine, but Wizards problem has pretty much always been that Mages are almost or just as good at nuking but bring the utility of a pet, malo, damage shield and call of the hero.
On top of things already mentioned... in my experience most eq players are pretty terrible at the game, even the ones who have been playing for a long time. There is maybe 10% of the player base that just hard carries the rest.
What are your plans for first things to do when a new expansion launches?
Do you rush to finish quests and missions?
Do you try to maximize plat gain by farming specific named or collections?
Are you going to immediately hop into personas if it's available at launch?
