Pallys used to be good, over a decade ago. The developers have made Sk and Warrior better for group content. They still have a solid role in raids for aoe heals/cures battle rezing, and off tanking mobs that should not be damaged. In my opinion, I would never recommend a pally for a new player...

If it was me, I would: Go the 3 FTP DPS with SK, bard and healer If you want to go with mercs, I would go with paid accounts SK, Bard and a DPS(BL) with DPS and healer mercs.

I would add a BL, due to you leaning caster DPS. If you are not attached to the bard, I would go back to the mage.

To me, parsing is just a meteric. It allows you to measure you base and how the changes you make affect it. This is how I experimented with swapping out with different classes, weapons and spell/song sets. If you can not measure the change for good or bad, then it is just hope and change.

If you are going to 3 box, you can use 3 mercs also. For actual toons I would go Sk, Bst, Brd. For mercs, I would go 1 healer merc and 2 DPS mercs.

Hello, and as many say, play what you like. If you were leaning melee, I would suggest sk, shm, brd, rou, rng, and bez. The BL buffs seem less important with a shaman in group to me. If you go caster, do not discount the mage. I had a friend who ran 5 mages and shaman. It was insane!

I run with similar to swarm method until 70. I then have a lvl 100 toon to help with aoe, At lvl 80, I move to FM with 2 lvl 110 toons. I also hav2 2 120 toons to help level them to 100,

It depends is the answer. First rule is, play what you like, otherwise you can get burnt out. I do not recommend doubling up on mages. BL - If you do not have a shaman in group or have caster group, BL buffs will help out alot. Ran - If you have a shaman in group, and are a melee group...
