could be windows defender scanning your folder... in windows security center ... exclude your EverQuest folder along with MQ2 folder .. this is a known issue with tiny spikes in game.

Thanks for that Robban, i disabled mq2melee on my shammy and he's still casting. learnt something new..more plugin's i can disable.

You might have turned mq2melee off with "UseMQ2Melee=0" on a caster which unloads mq2cast also
