When using ctrl f to head to a zone, I sometimes get stuck on an object in the environment. It wont let me turn or strafe to get unstuck. how do I turn travel off?

Recently my chat box is being spammed by entries showing people either entering or leaving chat channels. Two of my toons are using mq2 and getting this. A third toon, on a laptop without mq2, is not getting it. If mq2 is the cause of this, how do I turn it off?
