Tip - Windows 11 Emoji Rollback (1 Viewer)

Microsoft did Microsoft things with the default emojis in Windows 11. These are downright awful:



You can roll back to the Windows 10 Emoji Set and tell a different story:



Follow these instructions (sourced from this external site):

1. Press Winkey+R, type regedit, and press enter.
2. Paste this into Regedit's address bar or navigate to this folder in the hierarchy: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
3. DELETE the Segoe UI Emoji font
4. Download the attached font.zip and unpack it
5. Right click the extracted file → more options → install for all users
6. Restart your computer.

Note that this means you will not be missing the emojis from Emoji 12.1, half of the emojis from Emoji 13.0 and Emoji 13.1, and all of the emojis from Emoji 14.0.
Which means you won't have the Troll emoji:
