Question - What are the BASIC REQUIREMENTS for multiboxing EQ?

I would like to multibox EQ with KissAssist. I would like to know what I need in order to do this. FOR EXAMPLE:

1. Do I need to purchase a new subscription to Innerspace by LavishSoft or perhaps some other multibox software?

2. If so, is there a ready-made setup for using MQ2 and KissAssist with multibox software?

3. Is there a step by step guide somewhere on this RedGuides Website describing what I need to do and where to purchase any additional software needed for setting up my team?

Depending on the specs of your PC, you shouldn't need any special software to run multiple copies of EQ. I can run 7 pretty easily and my PC is a bit dated lol.

Thanks! If you don't mind, can you tell me how you keep track of all seven different characters? Can you see what they are all casting? Do you see what they are doing by tabbing through? Do you simply ignore everything except what is in the MQ2/Kissassist textbox?

I have looked around the forum for a specific guide on multiboxing with Kissassist and I have not located one. I even did a search, but everything was over a year old. Is that still current?

Once I get KA setup for each toon, it runs as though a person is playing each one. Usually, I'll just tab thru each one. As to the guide you're referring to, not sure how well it works currently as I didn't follow it.

Just keep in mind that each instance of EQ eats about 600-700MB of RAM, if you have 8GB of RAM you can multibox 8 instances with relative ease.

WinEQ2 is a free window manager with hotkeys for 8 instances. Made by lavishsoft it is a free version of their more advanced Isboxer(never used that one). It works just fine with MQ2. Personally I start WinEQ2 first then MQ2, then I start launching instances of game.

These days eq is pretty good at managing the frame rates, so you CAN get by without WinEQ2. In the ancient days (circa 2005 or so) WinEQ2 was a huge help.
