Bug - Warrior not picking up Xtar is mezzed

So basically what is happing is I was seeing groups wipe constantly. If there is a single pull everytying works perfectly, but if more then 1 then the chanter does his job and mezzes the adds, the tank hold the 1st mob and it gets killed. Then the tank just stands around waiting as the mes breaks, then the mob either attacks the chanter or the cleric. The cleric goes invulnerable so no heals and then the whole group dies. I have replicated this on 8 separate groups, all of them are doing it. 5 are warriors, 2 are Sks and 1 is a ranger, all are doing it.

The mobs that are mezzed are in the xtar window as valid group targets, its almost like the code that tells the tank to grab next fails if he is mezzed, I turned off the kiss on the chanter and the tank killed 3 in a pull no problem so I feel it is a mezz check problem on the pullertanks code

Interesting if I manually target anything on the xtar window from the pullertank while he is "waiting" he starts attacking it

Hmm even after mez breaks if they were mezzed the tank will not pick them up until they kill off the entire party and then attack him, then he responds but its too late then, its a wipe!

Dropped down to kissassist 8.3.0 to see if it was still there and it went away, TO BE CLEAR, the only change I made was downgraded kissassist 854 to kissassist 830 and the issue stopped, so it is something in the code of kiss not checking the for adds after it kills 1 of a group AND the rest are Mezzed. He wont pick up and wake up the mezzed one and even after mez breaks he just has empty target but not empty xtar and wipefest

Also if the tank DIES and is rezzed he will not go back to attacking, he just sits with no mob targeted as the rest of the group dies off
 
just wondering if you have the enchanter as your target when you start kiss? i ran into this issue when I ran tank mode on my SK and didnt have it target the chanter to start kiss..
 
pretty standard group, tank is warrior set to pullertank nothing targeted when he starts kiss, cleric running autocleric, chanter running kiss, wiz wiz wiz running afnuke2

ah and on any given day you can tell when it is working as the ground will be littered with the bodies of the slain mobs that meet with the awesome power of 3x end game wizzies running afnuke2!

I am 100% sure that the issue is the tank no longer breaks mez of anything in camp and this is causing the whole problem!

I have watched it for hours and hours and if I see it happen and on the tank I simply CLICK any of the xtar mobs that are mezzed he will attack it and all is well, if I wait the mob eventually falls our of mez and pandemonium ensues!
 
Unless Maskoi made a change to the assist code, this past update. I am not aware of any changes to the Assist routine. That is where the Tank picks his next target. I will have to look at this in more detail tonight, while I have my group loaded.
 
I looked through the last couple versions and compared what has changed and I couldn't find anything that has changed in the CheckForCombat, Assist, Combat routines. Those are the routines involved with the tank picking up the next mob. Assist is the big one. I don't see anything that changed. The Assist routine has been rewritten since KA 8.3.0, yes it may work, but it had other issues, thus the rewrite. Up until the most recent update my tank picked up mezed mobs with no problems. I have not had a chance to test since the last update, so that's what I will be doing tonight, but this may NOT be a KissAssist issue.

I can confirm the same things going on as noted by the guys above regarding group pulls into camp with mez. I've been repeating the process with a three group raid format pulling TONS of stuff this last two weeks. As I'm at the keys, if I manually target one of the mezzed mobs with the tank, he jumps right on it. Alternately, if I use my bard that I'm playing to pull with, I can land a successful bellow to break the mez and the tank jumps all over it.
 
raz maybe try without mezzing the adds in camp see if he grabs all the mobs and kills them all, just control a wizard outside the group, or shammy, or ranger and root them in camp but away from the group see if he senses an add that isnt hitting him (so he doesnt just react to something on the target window).

raz stupid question but have you rebooted since the patch?..... maybe its an array that isnt holding the ids right..... there used to be an array test macro that would see if arrays were working correctly, i will see if i can find it again.

I was having a similar issue yesterday so I just dropped my ench from the group, let my tank grow a pair and I added another wiz. No troubles handling multiple mobs after there was no mezzer in camp.
 
Someone mez a mob please then target it and

I reboot BEFORE doing any patch, want the system clean and ready and no files hung up, I have a ton of PCs to do it on to! This is happing to all my boxes, not just 1, but to 11

The 6 "blanked out" spots are my tanks name who is pullertank btw
 
ok SO for the 2nd time I have now had this happen, well actually the 3rd, something is writing random shit and I mean shit to my kissassist.ini file, partial names and stuff like it had "er" as a mab to ignore, I have not added anything to this file, I had it happening in dragonscale hills over and over and my fix was to set the kissassist.ini to READ-FUCKING-ONLY.... something is corrupting the kissassist.ini. I removed the "er" from the ini and testing it now...

What I don't understand is the tank did NOT have that mob on the ignore list, as he pulled it in the 1st place! But then magically it is now on the list as he is fighting 1 of them? How does that happen?
 
Out of 10 multiple pulls he is picking up the mezzed adds no problem now, but again, what is corrupting the kiss ini mid combat?

nope I REALLY try to leave my shit stock so I can test stuff.... it would be counter productive to try to help others test stuff if mine was different... the only thing I run that is not here is afnukemage but we wont get into that....

On 7 boxes I had the kissassist_info.ini file have corruption in JUST the single line for ignore mob in the current zone (each box a different zone) all except the one I set to read only, it works perfect...
 
I am using 8.5.4 and I think 2 pets. yup mage and chanter have pets out

So far the problem is fixed, have the ini set to read only though
 
make sure this event is remmed out. If it is something else is wrong.

Raz, maybe the info written into the info.ini file was "residue" from the pet issue Maskoi was talking about. I had similar issues, I went in and deleted all my info files (as I had few mobs listed anyway) to make them easier to monitor.

I've had no writing issues since update that I am aware of as of yet, bu still monitoring.
