Guide - Warrior best in slot non-prestige

I have been updating my FTP war tank with the new EoK gear. Here is what i have found so far. I will leave ac augs out of this because Raz has already done that.

Hate weapon warrior only (EoK) - Moss-Crusted Axe

Aug for weapon (TBM because i could not find a EoK non-prestige) - Flame of Hope

Shield (EoK) - Burnished Wurmscale Aegis

Hate mask (EoK) - Mask of Dust

Type 5 heroic aug (TBM type 5 dex aug seems to be the best non-prestige still) - Resplendent Sulstone of Deftness

Visible slots - Amorphous Gear

Other slots to come

I plan to update this list as i find more items. Eventually i would like it to be a full list of BIS for FTP warrior.

Raz amazing list of ftp augs ala here like you said is a must have for the ftper.
I also made a list that I keep constantly updated in the guide section letting people who are like me and want total ftp toons located here.

The list is pretty strait forward. Everything considered tier 1 is ftp, best place to pull a list would be eqresource. That would be all drops from lcea, fm, scorched, and gates, this excludes ancient things, which was mentioned in a few posts. No augs are ftp in eok anymore. You will have to piece tbm augs, which are great and offer like 11 slots, and weapon slots. You will want to get type 5 augs from there too, the named dropped ones in eok are again not ftp and the ones you can buy from the vendor with currency are like 1/2 smaller. Whatever pieces you are missing can be aquired via cotf ha's, currency, and named. Aside from that there are some larger quests you can get too to fill the gaps.

I was hoping people would tack on more convo to those threads making it easier for people jumping into an expansion to have a wealth of knowledge in a condensed place.

I think the challenge is the existing resources (eqresource.com, alla's, raidloot.com etc.) are solid and make it easy to search. I don't think we need to create a second resource inside the redguides construct for things that are kind of ubiquitous to EQ. Now, exploits and stuff, those are definitely worthwhile to record here!

Are we talking "best in slot non-prestige", or easily found loot for a group?
This whole list is non-prestige, but from a raid event. On Firiona Vie however, it's tradable (TBM raid stats) and on all servers non-prestige: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=8151

being as many of us don't play FV server and our F2P tanks will probably not raid, a good "best in slot group" list is very nice to have...looking up all this stuff isn't hard, but can be time consuming for those of us that don't have time....

Yes i would like to keep this as the best non-prestige warrior gear that can be obtained by maximum 2 groups.

I have always thought (AC > every other stat) (H dex is the Heroic stat i have been stacking). So far i have noticed that all off pieces for tanks have really low AC. Do you all think the low AC EoK gear is overall better than the high AC TBM gear. As of right now the mask is the only piece i have replaced with Mask of Dust shown in the first post.

Does anyone have a rule of thumb for H agi, H dex, H stam, HP (like 1ac = 10 hp?) If we can agree on some rules i will put an excel table together for the off pieces.

So after much testing i have decided that the EoK T1 off pieces (even with the really low AC) are still better that the TBM ones. The extra damage and H stats and HP make up for the lost AC. Hopefully i will get some time over Christmas to update exactly what off pieces are best.

I have also noticed that duel wielding is now the best for tanking group content. The extra damage taken is offset by the increase in mob death speed.
