Moorgard stopped by the Official Forums (what can we say, he's a busy man) to inform everyone that there will be no server downtime tomorrow. This is to test recent server optimizations. The announcement from Moorgard:
In order to test some changes we've made to improve server stability, we will not be bringing the US servers down at their usual 4am restart time on Wednesday morning (4/13/05). Instead, they will continue running without a restart.
We will look at the data we accumulate and use it to determine when we can start leaving the servers up for longer periods of time. There are some additional optimizations that will be going in with Live Update #7 that should further improve server performance, so this is just an initial run to evaluate our changes so far.
