I also made a new team since I was seeing all the EQ anniversary stuff lately. Figure a new Test team would scratch the forever itch, since as usual I forgot where I left my old team off at. I made the team on Live and started leveling until Test compile is all up and running, then just copy them over. Figure I'll give a caster group a go this time around.
 
Brainiac sorry for spelling bud, but has posted in the discord at 7 am my time ( UK), so 1am his time, that he would be working on it tommorow, so later today sometime :)

Casters groups are great, make sure you got atleast 1 mage and your good, mages are strong with ToL

Got a bit to go. They're all about level 11 right now.
SK, Clr, Dru, Enc, Mag, Nec currently. Not sure if i'll change it up a bit. Considered doing 2 mage and 1 bst, but i'll stick with this for now

I've played a few stints here and there and end up struggling around level 90+
I've come to terms with being bad at Live EQ long ago, but it was always with a melee group with a single healer and bad gear.
Maybe this time with a caster group and a backup healer I'll have some better luck. Not to mention I have a hodge podge assortment of characters from 85-100+ to buff or help out once I get going.
This might be the time I get max level. Well whatever max is on Test.
 
did up a pet class group of war/enc/clr/mag x3 awhile back. not very flavorful class-wise but gotta say three mages make quick work of opponents.

I don't run any Lua scripts or macros unless I'm doing something specific.

I saw on the mq2mage update history for Mar 9 that there was a fix put in for "summon item issue." Not sure what all that covers. But the version of the CWTN plugins that are bundled with the Test build seem to have a bug. mq2mage failing to summon new pets. "Conscription of Air needs Malachite x1" etc. Same deal for mq2enchanter and Tiny Daggers. Have both reagents available, but they just keep failing until I manually summon the pets.

Also not sure what is happening with the summoning of pet weapons for mq2mage, but it frequently freaks out and spams my cursor with a pet weapon until I disable UsePetWeapons.

Both are new since last patch. Didn't know if best to put here or on the respective plugin pages.

update and you should be good to go

there was an issue with the most recent mq test build, and mq has since been updated you're on version like 242, and it currently is 246

there were several issues with items

This was fixed with the TLO call for item count issue. Patched last night
 
MQ2EQBC unable to function, basically when I start it on test server the box doesn't show up allowing me to input an IP address, and there is no MQ2EQBC.ini so i can't manually input an ip address. So am i screwed?

All config files go in your config folder now, check there.you also need the eqbcS (server) running, this is the black "dos" looking box, in-game you need mq2eqbc running, and do a /bccmd connect 127.0.0.1
 
Test server will be getting a patch at some point today, in case some people wish to make plans for this ahead of time.

I think I jinxed us. I was thinking about how nic it’s been to have no patches break MQ just last night. I had moved a lot of new teams up to 120 + aa them, even added two accounts for buff bots (up to 8 I think I’ll go to 9 but stop - so I can cycle more team setups).

Anyway was just thinking how much I’ve accomplished last two weeks last night without a patch and feel like I brought this one us 🤣

The test patch to fix what they broke is coming today. Hopefully they get this right so we can get some remaining anniversary work in after.
 
For the last few hours, it's been stable. No crashes in PoK, GL, Bazaar, etc. (which were very frequent in the past couple of days).
 
MQ has to be patched before RedGuides can rebuild.

As soon as MQ is patched, we will rebuild for test.

I know test has been frustrating for months with dbg having it down so frequently :(
 
This test patch is going to require more work than usual. unlikely that it will be done this afternoon per brainiac.

I'll continue to keep ya'll updated if there is more information available - and good news - with the new way that redbot setup the RG build process, it is super easy to get a build going when we need to
