anmyway to use the auto path to find objectives again? anytime i click one to auto path it says not able to make a path, do have all meshes updated etc :)
There are a couple of small, yet important changes with MacroQuet vs the old MQ2 as explained > HERE <

Moving to MacroQuest mental notes:
1. mq2map click is Control+Shift+Click
2. new easyfind self travel is Control+Click (reminder in find window title bar)
3. new easyfind group travel is Control+Shift+Click
4. If you selected a destination in your zone guide and want to activate it you /travelto activate
5. /yes and /no are now aliases
6. your ini configuration files (like for kissassist) now reside in your "Config" folder and not your "Macro" folder
 
Looks they are pushing another patch today to test. They just brought server down - details not up yet.

*** Items ***

- Rogue - Irae Faycite Shard: Netherbian Blade Strike is now available for purchase in Maiden's Eye (Terror of Luclin).
- Royal Antonican weapon ornaments can no longer be claimed while equipped on a weapon. They will have to be removed from the weapon before claiming a different ornament.
- Flagged many Gates of Discord key items as quest items.


*** Quests & Events ***

- Now all four missions in Terror of Luclin will have 6-hour replay timers. We previously changed 3 of them and neglected to message that change.
- Aten Ha Ra (ToL Mission/Raid) - Improved the combat pathing for NPCs in Aten Ha Ra's room.
- Aten Ha Ra (ToL Mission/Raid) - Added a speculative fix for the possibility that adds can spawn after the event is won.
- Shei Vinitras (ToL Mission) - The mission chest should no longer spawn until you have credit for killing Shei Vinitras.
- Shei Vinitras (ToL Mission) - Shei Vinitras should now leave a corpse.
- Stalwart Defenders (Solteris) - Unbalancing Balreth will no longer cause the event to fail. Instead, the uncontrollable golems will spawn once for each set of Rear Guard golems if they are unbalanced. The uncontrollable golems will need to be defeated to win the event.
- March 16th marks EverQuest's 23nd anniversary! The Mechanical Fortune Teller in the Plane of Knowledge has information about new quests, a new mission, and a new raid.


*** Spells ***

- Fixed a bug where teleporting to your bind while in the same zone would prevent using a zone line.
- Fixed a bug where using a translocate spell to the current zone, would prevent subsequent translocation.
- Beastlord - All spells in the Spiritual Vigor line will once again block Paladin Brell's buffs and Ranger Strength buffs from landing as they used to.
- Monk - Doom of the Thirteen Fingers (I, II, and III), Doom of Fourteen Fists (I, II, and III), and Doom of Fifteen Strikes (I, II, and III) will once again have a chance to crit.
- Ranger - All spells in the Strength of the Hunter line will once again block Paladin Brell's buffs and Beastlord Spiritual Vigor spells from landing as they used to.


*** AA ***

- All - Steadfast Servant - Fixed an issue with the description of rank 1.
- All - Enhanced Reformation - Fixed an issue with the description of ranks 1 and 46.
- Beastlord - Companion's Fury - Rank 139 now grants a new rank of Bestial Bloodrage.
- Magician - Companion's Fury - Rank 199 now grants a new rank of Frenzied Burnout, Virulent Talon, and Virulent Talon Strike.
- Necromancer - Companion's Fury - Rank 153 now grants a new rank of Frenzy of the Dead, Nightmare Draw, and Lingering Nightmares.
- Necromancer - Funeral Pyre - Added a new rank, available at level 116, that increases the damage bonus by 1% and the applicable spell level to 120.
- Wizard - Spire of Arcanum - Rank 27: Increased the applicable spell level of the activated mana cost reduction to 120.
- Wizard - Quick Damage: Updated ranks 5-10 to focus Ethereal Twist.
- Made the following updates to Glyph AAs:
- - Glyphs that grant buffs are now labeled "Mythic Glyph of..."
- - Glyph of Angry Thoughts has been renamed Mythic Glyph of Inspired Provocation.
- - Glyph of Destruction has been renamed Mythic Glyph of Ultimate Power.
- - Mythic Glyph of Ultimate Power - Now increases healing spell crit chance by an additional 1% per tier, i.e. 15/16/17/18/19%.
- - Mythic Glyph of Ultimate Power IV - Now increases player/pet melee and spell crit damage by 65%.
- - Mythic Glyph of Ultimate Power V - Now increases player/pet melee and spell crit damage by 70%.
- - Mythic Glyph of Arcane Secrets IV - Is now effective on spells up to level 114.
- - Mythic Glyph of Arcane Secrets V - Now grants 1% to 40% mana cost reduction and is effective on spells up to level 129.


*** NPCs ***

- Beastlord pets should more consistently display their name as a warder. Existing pets may need to be re-summoned in order to receive the updated name.
- Lord Nagafen and Lady Vox will no longer banish attackers that are above level 52.


*** Progression Servers ***

- Enabled server transfers off of Miragul.
- Enabled server transfers to Aradune from Agnarr.


*** Miscellaneous ***

- Made the following changes to Barter:
- - Relaxed the restriction on remote selling and remote buying to Shadows of Luclin instead of Rain of Fear.
- - Added commas to the display of prices in the Barter and Buyer windows.
- Made improvements to how offline characters are saved in an ongoing effort to reduce lag spikes on the world server.
- - World server lag spikes typically manifest themselves as extended zoning times and delayed cross-zone communication (tells, guild chat, etc.).
- - This particular change reduces lag spikes that were caused by the world server unnecessarily waiting for background work to complete.


*** UI ***

- Accepting a resurrection will now update your respawn window selection to the location of your corpse.
- Fixed a bug that caused a crash when the Manage Loot window was being used.
- Fixed a notorious crash that occurred when changing filters in the Advanced Loot Window.
- Updated the /copylayout command to properly copy hotbutton window size, spinner, and keymap options.

yeahh another patch, seems like their patching almost weekly, which is a good sign for future of the game, bad for mq2 though
 
read some conversation today about custom UIs getting borked on test (which will be live)

The changes that need to be made will depend on how the custom UI is setup, but essentially, it used to define each buff slot as BW_Buff[#]_Button where [#] is 0-41. Now it uses a template "BW_Player_Buff_Template" which is called from inside a TileLayoutBox. Basically, you should be able to just delete the old Buttons listed above, and replace it with the template+tilelayoutbox and leave the rest of the code alone (the part that displays the names). You may need to adjust the sizing / offset location of the decal (buff icon) inside the template
 
Hello all,
I was just wondering, was there some sort of patch today? it says that Macroversion has a mismatch, and i'm playing on Test.
 
I do realize that there isn't a time line on updating and I also realize that test is much lower on the priority list. I am just curious, do we have any idea if test MQ will be updated before the weekend?

There is no timeline, unfortunately. As soon as the MQ devs have it done, RG will get it built

As the post above you can click to get notified when it is back.

Unfortunately test server makes big changes sometimes, and especially with this 64-bit change, it is possible and likely we continue to see larger updates with more changes than a "normal" update.

Downloaded the new Mq for test, dont know if its related to the new patch,
but struggling get my team of 6 onlinee, logged 6 in at once, 4 crashed with MQ errors , try the 4 again , they all crashed, going try reset my pc see if that makes a difference

Same but only my casters crash. The melee guys are fine.
 
reset PC, loaded same6, same 4 crash, upon entry into game, tryied deleting their MQ ini files, see what happens

After a little testing

Ber/Bard/Ranger was able to log in
Once bard started KA it crashed

Mage/Sk/Sham/Bst were unable to

Im getting crashes as well. my shm crashes every time he casts a spell. same with my Bst and Cleric.
edit added .dmp file to help out
 
Same but only my casters crash. The melee guys are fine.
run a melee group its crashing as well .. dump uploaded also not sure how its related but it set all my character models to new and even started playing the theme music during character load lol

I am unable to login as well. Trying to load 5 toons. 110 Zerker and 82 rogue I'm pling loaded just fine and seem to show no signs of crashing. However, my 110 SK, 110 Chanter, and 108 Ranger are unable to stay in game for more than a second. Crashes everytime I try to load them back in.
 
I just loaded in 17 toons on test. 3 Shaman Crashed. I unloaded Mq2Shaman and they will now load in fine. Once i'm in game - I can reload Mq2Shaman and it works fine. So maybe try unloading plugins at the loading screen (I dont use Autologin)

One thing which is happening...and it maybe a UI issue - but my Buffs are all Pearl Necklace's. I like a Pearl Necklace as much as any guy..but this is ridiculous.

I turned off all CWTN plugins via the ini, tried to load up rgmerc on my ranger - crashed. Tried to load up mq2Eskay once logged in on my sk - crashed, going to try and reset my pc to see if that helps any
 
its not just CWTN plugins..because all casters seem to be just randomly crashing. Not sure if its even creating Dump files. Toons just Disappear. certainly makes it difficult...maybe time to do some tradeskills!

howdid you unload the plugin before geting into game?
 
If you dont use Autologin - you can unload the plugin at character select ie type /plugin mq2shaman unload in the MQ Chat Window to issue the command. It doesnt matter though..they all crash again very soon.
 
Warrior, Bezerkers seems to be fine playing with merc for now.
some of the toons say it need update from everquest when loading. While other load and crush from the same everquest directory.
just my one red cents worth..
 
I wrote a post in kissassist section.
For me eq crash when I start kissassist and its the ”writebuff” function that make it crash.
 
EQ keeps crashing on test when use MQ, Edit .. I was able to use kissassist for a bit, then when i tried rgmercs it crashed, tried diff chars also, any time it starts buffing/etc it crashes

Got same error on the 5 of 6 I Can login. It's a UI update issue for this. I never crashed for it though just had mass spam.

Interesting enough my 6th account SK can't login. Same plugins loaded on all so I don't believe that's the issue. Happens upon entering game world.
 
Loaded up 30 toons, only crashing on my 2 shamans and 5 clerics...everyone else is loading up fine and not crashing.

So playing with it a bit more - deleting the char INI - when loading in the new ini is getting filled with quite a bit of junk around buffs. Character crashes upon login but still manages to generate all this:

I have 6 toons that I load. The SK and the Nec crash on logging in every time while MQ is running. I can log them in manually while MQ is not running. On my Nec, I logged in manually without MQ and then did a copy layout (from Mage who does log in while MQ is running). I then logged out the Nec, loaded MQ and tried logging in the Nec again - He crashed. I also tried logging in the Nec with MQ while checking off the reset UI to default but he still crashed. The problem does not seem to be layout or UI related from what I can see.
 
There are some issues with the test build related to changes to spells and buffs that need to be addressed. Will try to get these looked at this weekend but I am unavailable today so it may be later this weekend.

Same here, when caster cast a spell, EQ crashes on test, another friend was saying the same
 
There's a crash in one of our window handlers, so it's going to impact quite a few things.
