So, Redbot, wanted to let you know that I am closer to figuring this out. I am updated through current build after Braniac's fix and played without MQ2 as you requested. No crashes and got the BSOD.

I supplied my minidumps to Microsoft Community. The moderator is still figuring it out, we have ran through my build specs, all my drivers are up to date. He figured out real quick that I play Everquest as that was present with all of the memory management problems that caused the BSOD. He is not sure yet, but he is thinking that EQ does not play nice with Windows 11 driver system and certain component/driver combinations.

If it is helpful for you guys to have this information, I can supply it after I have chased every avenue with MS Community.
 
So no crashes without MQ? Then it seems to be an MQ issue. Can you post the [Plugin] section from your MacroQuest.ini
 
if you're getting a BSOD then you're having hardware and/or driver problems. That isn't something we can account for on the software side. Neither EQ nor MQ are at fault.

Ah I read that wrong, you're still crashing without MQ. Thank you for confirming.

You're doing the right thing reporting to MS. Since it's not MQ related you may want to also post your issues here, and don't tell them we sent ya:

In addition, contact the manufacturer of your PC. Perhaps they have updated drivers / firmware.

I get what you are saying, which is why I went to MS Community. The problem is that I do not get the BSOD for any other program I am running on my pc except for EQ. Which is why it seems to be an EQ compatibility issue, not a MQ2 issue.

Its understandable that you think this. Some games only exercise hardware in certain ways. But I have not ever seen a BSOD that was a "compatibility" issue and not a hardware issue, and I've seen an enormous amount of them in my career.

If there is a compatibility issue, it will be on the driver side, not the game side. I'm just trying to steer you in the direction you should be looking. You will get nothing out of the EQ support forums. _nothing_.
Microsoft isn't going to be helpful either.

BSOD Should have indicator of the problem, such as driver file. nv*** is nvidia, amd** is amd etc.
 
I got the patch installed and loaded my guys online, but no plugins are there, luas worked. I logged out and closed everything (Eq, EQBCS, Launcher and MQ icon). restarted patcher, and I don;t have to patch, but am still stuck at this:

This is the live build thread, not the launcher thread.

And launcher is bogged down likely due to volume of people patching.

are you trying to run MQ on a truebox server? truebox servers aren't supported
