1. Read the Beginner's Guide to MacroQuest2.
2. Install Very Vanilla
   

Update

1. Run update.exe
   

We recommend you make a second EQ folder for the test server
Example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Everquest\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Everquest Test\

Hey Maskoi I've just downloaded the new compile and I'm getting the incorrect client version, and Failed to initialise MQ2 will free lib and exit. Any ideas what's going wrong?

I have patched eq 8 times and i also get invalid client info and downloaded the new patch this morning still get same message.

I think you uploaded the live version of the compile and not test version. Just have to switch the upload

I'm also waiting for a Vanilla Test Server compile since there was a Test server pacth this week, July 16th I think. I'll just have to play old school in the mean time.

ce the EQ Test Server update on the 19th or 20th, not positive which, the test server compile is no lover valid, giving an incorrect version now. Let me know if this is on my end or the change affected this compile.
