MQ2Vieport - Sets screen to /viewport 0 0 1 1 or a black screen when EQ session is in background. This plugin can help with people that have choppy graphics due to lag.
Commands
Rich (BB code):
/vp on
/vp off

ignore it. just the click the button and everything will be fine,

Running any kind of macro makes my clients freeze with this. Yeah, used the RGUpdater etc just as usual. Not sure what's causing it.

Edit; Clean MQ2 reinstall seems to fix it.

Love the MQ2Viewport!

Only wish would be if there was a way to set the size of viewport not to be full size but a custom size (doesnt have to be completely custom, even a choice of a few common sizes QVGA(320x240),VGA(640x480),SVGA(800x600),XGA(1024x768),SXGA(1280x1024) would be amazing).

This is just version 1 of MQ2viewport. We knocked it out really quick for the compile. We will be adding some other features like an ini file to save settings per toon, etc. Setting custom size might be in there too.

Keep crashing on 1 of my toons every single time i zone or pickzone, anyone know a cause for this? didnt happen with the last mq2 compile

First I had all clients crash when running macros as stated above (both KA and FastHeal). Did a clean reinstall of MQ2 and it worked well for 10 toons. Tried loading a friends warrior now, and it still freezes when trying to run KA. It gets stuck at the "Blocked Buffs" window and nothing happens, have to force close the client and reopen it.

It got stuck at the same point before the reinstall, but I'm not sure what's the matter with FastHeal.

Look in your macroquest.ini file and post the [plugins] section

ini files : MacroQuest, Mq2AutoSize, MQ2HUD, Mq2Map, Mq2Targets, mq2telnet - exactly like that, caps in right places etc.

I've had this stalling as well.. seems to happen on Pet classes at about the point they would "do pet stuff"...if they don't have a pet, they will summon/buff and continue fine. if they do have a pet, but pet is unbuffed by that toons pet buffs, i get a quick read in MQ2chat window.. /call do pet stuff....., then they will buff pet, and continue fine. IF pet is up, and fully buffed....it stalls right after loading memed spell set...if you start combat, after combat they will continue fine, but if you don't do anything, they will stand there and do nothing....Beastlord seems to have the greatest issue with this (maybe becouse he has the most pet buffs??).

In my case:

Rich (BB code):

mq2hud=1
mq2fps=1
mq2map=1
mq2bzsrch=1

mq2eqbugfix=1
mq2cast=1
mq2debuffs=1
mq2exchange=1
mq2melee=1
mq2moveutils=1
mq2posse=1
mq2rez=1
mq2medley=1
mq2eqbc=1
mq2bufftool=1
mq2aaspend=1
mq2navigation=1
mq2xptracker=1

I already put the .ini per toon in there. :) It should be saved as servername_toonname.ini in the main MQ2 folder, and the setting is stored in VPRezise=0/1 (off/on)... I may not have mentioned that. Setting a custom size shouldn't be too difficult to add.

ini files : MacroQuest, Mq2AutoSize, MQ2HUD, Mq2Map, Mq2Targets, mq2telnet - exactly like that, caps in right places etc.

Cut and paste list here directly from your acroquest2.ini file like dretski did

Do you have any idea at all what might cause my problems Maskoi? Tried it multiple times with both copied server_name.ini and a fresh one. Same with KA inis. Crashes as soon as the Blocked Buffs window pops up either way.

Are you using a custom ui?

Also try
Rich (BB code):
/plugin mq2bufftool unload
and try using kiss

Done, no result. :( Nope, using the original UI.

Edit; Did another clean MQ2 install, seems like it's working. I have nooooo frickin' idea why though.

keep getting incorrect client version and MQ2 error (Failed to Initialize MQ2 will free lib and exit). I reinstalled MQ2 folder, updated macro folder inside, used RGUpdater and still can't fix the error. I am using ISBoxer and custom UI.

DBG made me install the new launchpad, upon doing so, the errors were still not fixed. So, I deleted the launchpad and am currently reinstalling it. I hope this fixes it.

with the latest compile for some reason my chanter stopped mezzing adds.

After trying some things I found the reason in the "dps section". DPS=0 he doesnt mez a single add. DPS=1 he mezzes as usuall.

Strange but no biggie. Just wanted to let you know in case theres something serious broken with latest compile.

p.s. no, I dont have my mez spells in the dps section :-)

I will see if i can duplicate this tonight

Pretty frustrating to figure out, but everything seems ok now.

Had to download new Launchpad, install, then pull launchpad.exe, and eqgame.exe over to old sony folder from new Daybreak game folder in C:\Users\Public\Daybreak

Getting crash report after crash report now. Did clean install of MQ2. Doesn't seem to help.

Update:
After some testing. Disabled Medley and Viewport, no crash on login. It's one of those causing me problems.

AAutospend also seemed to cause me issue.

Plugins in MacroQuest.ini

that's it, I am officially renaming my macroquest directory to acroquest! lol funny to me

- - - Updated - - -

out of 50 clients I have 7 that crash pretty regular, mostly the tanks and mezzers. time to do a new fresh install and move over the macs again.... will wait till the expac launch though...

- - - Updated - - -

basically I recommend what I will do myself.
1. rename my everquest directory (back it up)
2. MY mq2 directory and isboxer directory is inside my eq folder for easy of moving so it is backed up, if yours is not, then back it up
3. go to everquest.com and download a fresh install of eq.... put that entire directory where I want it, in my case I always do c:\everquest
4. move over your maps and user files
5. do a fresh install of mq2 from current load
6. copy only your macs, inis and server_toon.inis

enjoy a nice stable run but be ready to do this again a couple times a year..... I do.... back your shit up!

Plugins in MacroQuest.ini

I don't think that is from our compile. thats a really old syntax and MQ2 doesn't write plugins like that anymore. Are you on an emu server or something?

This is a fresh mq2 from 6 months ago, i downloaded it directly from here.

Edit: and have been using this for the past 6 months no issue.

Editedit: i can redownload it from scratch and try that out if u want, mash.

Have admin settings turned off, but i can try this when i get home

- - - Updated - - -

Well running as admin, does nothing, it still crashes.

Try the new and fresh install then please. this seems to be solving a lot issues for people.

If anyone with loading problems would try removing any MQ2Posse settings they have in their ini and try loading it again please? I found out that a lot of my troubles after the patch disappeared now that I cleaned the ini.

Compile release updated to incorporate changes missed in KissAssist release 8.4.2 for PullerPetTank role. as described in support ticket --> TICKET

Individual KissAssist forum thread will be updated as well.

MQ2Viewport is causing me crashes upon loading. Disabling it stops the crashes.

Using WinEQ.

To clarify: The plugin, if loaded in game, works fine. It is when I try to load up a new instance of EQ via WinEQ that the plugin crashes. I get the Crash Detected popup as soon as the window opens with the EULA.

I had that issue as well. We will try and debug it this weekend. Thanks for confirming the bug.

Fixed MQ2Viewport. Will no longer crash on start up.
