I used this today and it is awesome. I did notice that if you have done the CR TS quests that they have similar recipe names. So when it looks for "simple file" for example it tries using the CR recipe and goes into an endless loop of destroying mats and getting new mats. I overcame this by just manually making one combine then starting the mac back up.

It may be a good idea to have the mac make one manually first, then do the auto combines.

Yeah just dawned on me, all the problems I was talking about were ones I created myself.. this is something I can actually fix.. :)

The second query, well I have in the works a way to turn in individual items to get the trophy, chain-questing is not supported yet for that.

The other thing I have cooking that is near completion is an auto-shopper.

So you would do something like /mac TSGOD ShopMakeTrophy researchtrophy.ini <-- EXAMPLE ONLY

It would then go shopping for all the vendor items for that ini file
it would then craft all the items
if it failed to make them all
it would buy just the recipes that failed
upon success it would go to WFP and turn in the items get the trophy and go back to POK..

other options: destroy everything after you get back to POK or sell everything of value from the recipe

So that I understand correctly.. This is specifically for the search part , correct? I could make it so there is an option to use only experimentation so no search is ever performed...? would that work?

So search crash is usually related to a custom UI, if you loadskin /default it should work.. I am using a custom WoW style and it works.
 
FOUND IT!
Tried it on the other computer and it worked. Noticed that the tradeskill window didnt open when I clicked the mixing bowl, it went straight to the experiment mode. Found a checkbox in Options / General / Open tradeskill List with Ctrl Right Click. This was checked on the crashing char.

Happened to me too. This was how I fixed it. It kept happening if I didnt have the portable container in my bags though. But I made it through anyway when I bought the protable containers first
 
I just tryed 2 x with default UI & with the bag in my inventory.
The bag is in random slot, crashed each time to desktop, but np, i can do it manually.
This macro i great anyway.

Yes and No. To be able to refine GOD materials you have to do those particular quests in Abysmal Sea. This is useful for later on for the Artisan's Prize and other tradeskill recipes.

In Crescent Reach you only gain skill in Abysmal you get to refine materials by doing the quests. Yes it takes longer but there is a pay off in the end game.

If you run all the quests that are not class or race specific and not research it takes under 9 hours to run through them all on auto-pilot.
 
You may add all request things at start of the code of the macro.
The command to use, the things we need to check before launch the macro (check if option Ctrl click must be OFF), etc... It will be much more easy for everyone.
I will test later, the Open TS bags with Ctrl...

Fixed: Crafting again, slowed it down, again. Would cause quests to skip

Fixed: Was short changing the MakeTotal counts, now it should correctly do the proper count.

Added: Now it counts based on the ID of the item so if you have 3 types of arrows and they are all named the same it can figure out what is what.

Quests:

Fixed: Freebie completion check routine, had an errant character in a variable, and you guessed it, would cause...

Tinkering on the other hand, it bailed out.

I can confirm I had an empty "Delux Toolbox" in inventory main slot, general 9.

Opened the vendor, bought a regular "Toolbox" and placed that in the inventory.
Resumed running, and it proceeds fine.


Other

Had a brief look at the code, and subsequently bought "mixing bowl", "fletching kit" and "jewelers kit", adding those to inventory.
Hopefully will see these later stages go by as well as the other ones.


Great job with this macro, and looking forward to trying out other features it has after the Abysmal Sea stuff finishes.

it would also be nice if it bought whatever you are missing for skill "mixing bowl", "fletching kit", "jewelers kit", "toolbox" etc from vendors for chars if they don't have when they start doing the quests (instead of abandoning the skill entirely [could be a pre-quest to get all the things you'd need before starting skills?])

It's a feature :p .. Well the recipe calls for a toolbox so I use that, I thought about automagically swapping it if you have the deluxe. I also thought about if a recipe calls for a table and you are not near one yet you have the inventory container to use that.. thoughts for now.

This week is going to blow you away..... Shopping for anything and everything.. well anything that a POK vendor has. (NOTE: will add additional vendors and items)
NOT just for quests, for anything!

I have a custom vendor list that is easy to modify to add new vendors or new items to existing vendors. I have enough in there to complete pottey, research, fletching, alchemy, and jewel craft trophies at present. So the shopping macro will buy everything you need to make the trophy for these. The shopping vendor list is geared to buy only TS items and not other junk.

I have a way to do the GOD Quest, get the Trophy task, buy the items and make them and then get the trophy and return to POK.

The main part involved in this is, do you want it to go round and round buying from the vendors until it succeeds.. Basically it will shop, make it, and if something is missing, try to buy the missing items, and go again, and keep at it until it has made everything.. I can see a danger sign here but I have a experimental version that starts from buying, making, re-buying and making, and then turning in and getting the trophy.

Yeah I did think about buying containers, but then I have to do your bag management :p, moving stuff around :(

I think it easier to just say you need to buy this stuff, I will add in the checks for the solo quests later.. the chain quest should catch everything.

That being said, I could make something that buys everything you can use by class/race/level and then let you manage the bags.

The check option is baked in and will shut off automagically so you don't have to. no more Search UI so hopefully no more crashes.

Question: Will this get you the trophy if say you already are at a higher tradeskill level? Like your fletching skill is 120 but you have not gotten the trophy yet will it do the trophy part? I know that at different levels the task items to turn in are different (you get a higher level trophy when completed)

Longer Answer: It will get the quest and assign you a higher level trophy task, I am only doing beginner tasks. It would take a bit to hand jam all the associated INI files, the trophy turn in code, and the trophy answer file, and a bit of mod code for the main routine.

I was just wondering if you never had a trophy would this help get it... I know that if you never did any ts then this is the place to go. But if you already did a ts and got a level higher than 100 you would have to to the trophy the hard way...

It looks great and will try it out on a new character (all the old ones have real high ts)

Over time I can add in the other ones, but you will still have to do the farming,, other than that it should do everything else..

It means coming up with a routine that checks to see [tasks] what quest you have and then do the turn in for that.. the other part being a ton of ini files
 
IS there a simple plugin for Classic TS where I would be using an open toolbox or classic fletching kit? I could sub in the names of the items that need to be combined when final result is done and on to the next one?

Classic TS? are you talking about just the boxes and combine button? Could you describe a little more, I am not sure I understand what you are looking for..

Yeah it's me being lazy, I put in all the commands that are going to be there, but you need shoplist.inc which is being released in a few hours.. then the commands will work. I know they are in there and I didn't document them, but some of you are motivated checking things out, which ain't a problem. I just need to separate code.

Feature: Displays missing items from recipe when checking recipes.

I had a thought. When I sent a couple other characters to run the script I pre-loaded them with fletchers kit, mixing bowl and jewelers kit as I had looked at the code to see what it wanted. Normally from PoK I would grab the planar kits.

Using EQTraders as a poking point (here) I have compiled a list of the containers that can be used for combines. The list compiled by which trade, which recipe and what containers EQTraders have marked by it.


Baking
Ordins Oatmeal:
Mixing Bowl, Collapsible Mixing Bowl


Fletching
Wayfarer Arrow, Wayfarer Bow, Wayfarer Bowstave, Wayfarer Arrowhead:

That covers the options for required containers of which a character could carry to do the combines in the quest series.


With regards Baking and Tailoring, things get a little different. There are fixed world containers that the character can move to an intereact with, the oven and loom respective.
Yet the combines can be done in Spit for the former and various Sewing kits for the latter.
If the character has one available to use in the inventory, it saves the movement action from the quest npc. Much like they stay static doing fletching and jewelry. This isnt such a big deal with tailoring, the loom is close by. For baking though, the character runs outside the room, by a door, then around the perimiter of the building to oven and back again.




I see you are updating with regards trophy tasks. I will look to run these vendor buys and makes in the coming days. Great stuff, thanks.

This is pre pok when we used to singly place the mats into a toolbox or fletching kit, then have to hit combine. DO you have a little ditty that will do that? This is way before trophys and such

When you're recipe calls for anything that is not a table currently, it will open the container and just have the slots and combine button...
