No, this will definitely be too slow. You need to be running as soon as the character's name gets called and run to the boss and stay under him until you get the success message. Have your map open so you always know where the boss is. Generally I run counter-clockwise around the ruined fort if the boss is coming from the backside. You can also cut through the middle of the fort if he's to the far back side. People ITT telling you to time it up so that the boss is already near you when he does the emote is fine, but you still need to make sure that the named character is inside the big red ring before it goes away. You're likely going to have to manually move the character at least a short distance to get it.Am I supposed to let it pass me, and then enter the red circle?
No, it means you have to do 2 full cycles of the emote. Get emote, run to boss, stay under boss until "success" message, run back to group, rinse and repeat until boss is down. And for 2 successes, does that mean I go into the circle, and then leave and go back?
It is random who gets named. 2 cycles means that it could be the same character both times or could be different characters. And if you don't DPS fast enough to kill him on the first drop, he will jump back on his mount and fly off and you repeat the process until he's under 30% hp.Or does that mean that I need to be successful on 2 different characters?
Setting up a /nav command in mq2events may help, but with the level geometry such as it is, I think it would be problematic and likely to get stuck on geometry. You really need to be able to do it manually and be quick about swapping screens to the right character and running an efficient path to the boss before it fails.I guess I need to setup MQ2Events, because I am definitely too slow for this.
is 450k your max burn? That's rather low. You will have to play the mechanics and crowd control the adds and you may get overrun with adds anyways if you can't keep up. But honestly, your wizard should be doing more than 450k just by itself. My group is averaging about 450DPS a kill. War/Shm/Wiz/Brd (all level 115) with healer merc and assassin merc. You think this is enough to take beat this mission? Group geared with a mix of T1-T2 and T3 ToV. Augs are old, most group augs are from TBM. This make up was able to get Fight Fire in TBL.
Warrior and Wiz with that support should be able to do this, maybe not on the first drop, but second drop should be attainable... although it sounds like you may need to research how to burn with those toons, 450k group total is fairly low.My group is averaging about 450DPS a kill. engaging the mob the absolute SECOND he is attackable is huge - you have a very small window, so if you take 5-10 seconds before all your team is engaging you're going to be wasting too much of that small windowi keep seeing "if you have 800-850k dps he'll die in first drop" but i have double that..i have that just in my sk(and with my buddy thats 2 sks doing it) plus the other dps, and yet he wont ever stay down past about 50%. What am I missing here?
is he attackable before he actually finishes landing then? cause hes getting dbl harmtouched the instant he lands, attacked by 2 rogues and a bard immediately too theo nly delay is the ranger and the rest of the sk burns but thats no more than 2-3 seconds, unless hes attackable before his feet hit the groundengaging the mob the absolute SECOND he is attackable is huge - you have a very small window, so if you take 5-10 seconds before all your team is engaging you're going to be wasting too much of that small window
There are a lot of things that don't affect ht, and I hit them right after so ht gets as many ticks in as possible..like swarmpets just before rgr hits grp guardian and auspice etc. I also hit lt and tl in a fast burn like that, but those are only a few of the things I hot in a burn. I don't think I need to list all 15-20 of them lolSo you hit harm touch and then the rest of your sk burns?
so you're saying even with all that your entire team is doing like 1.6-1.8m dps? my sk alone will do over 1m+ on griklor - even at 110 with tov t1 gear. this is why i suspected you're missing some uptime on the mob.yeah im just not listing everything here lol there are like 10 aas not counting ht lt tl, a disc or 3(1 ongoing 2 instant) and 2-5 clickies, and THEN bloodletting and shittons of nuke/taps
b/t 1.6 and 2m yes, most need more or better slot5s and augs etc, most are in tovt1 so my other toons together equal my burn at most, everyone is barely above autogrant in aas except the other sk (and he's not included in that total) . but it seems like griks not down anywhere near 30 seconds either so thats why im trying to figure out what im missing here bc we are doing double or more what needs to be done, and starting as soon as he touches down, but idk if hes attackable before his feet land or what, or how long he actually stays grounded for. i know you have to get him to 30% to keep him down but its only ever high 40s to low 50s and he pops back up again. it seems more like about 15ish seconds that hes on the ground, and i say seems like bc the parser keeps going when he flies back up so i cant go by the fight time. also, as someone else mentioned, we're getting 3-4 adds when he pops up not 1-2. idk if that has anything to do with anything or not. he's easy, just doesnt seem to be landing for even close to 30 secondsso you're saying even with all that your entire team is doing like 1.6-1.8m dps? my sk alone will do over 1m+ on griklor - even at 110 with tov t1 gear. this is why i suspected you're missing some uptime on the mob.
I'm not failing the emotes. He's dropping after the second emote just as he's supposed to.Stop failing the emotes. You shouldn't be getting a bunch of adds like you are.
Mark griklor to see where he is easily and just follow him around with your entire team. When you get the emotes you have some time to move under him, but you need to constantly move as he is also moving.
When you do two successful emotes, he spawns and you will have plenty of time to kill him. If you are lower dps you repeat this process and pick up any adds and offtank them while you focus on griklor. If you get a bunch of adds, but you kill griklor, you can run over to chest and open it to despawn the adds.
Quick question on this: is that for all cwtns or just zerk? I know some things also use zerker parts. I'm using mq2rogue so would it still be /zerk or would it be /rog?as i show in my Griklor 1.0 video here - all you need to do is turn on/zerk switchwithma on, and then have your MA clear their target. when you don't want to chase grik any longer.

/noparse /bcaa //docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} switchwithma onQuestion from the doofus! What for the /noparse part do??
all of the cwtn plugins use the same library for the "commons" stuff, the routines are done individually. something like switchwithma or the modes are part of the common library.
each class uses their short name command to do stuff
doing /zerk on your rogue would tell you that you're not a rogue.
that video is also old and berzerker.command isn't a thing anymore - you should refer to my hotkeys resource if you want hotkeys.
I just have all my toons switchwithma all the time/noparse /bcaa //docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} switchwithma on
noparse makes the receiver evaluate the TLOQuestion from the doofus! What for the /noparse part do?
${stuff}/bcaa //bc ${Me.Class.Name} everyone would say "Shadow Knight"/noparse /bcaa //bc ${Me.Class.Name} everyone would say what THEIR class wasThanks! I’d give you some redcent but you’re redcent rich. I’ll save it for the poor folk lol.noparse makes the receiver evaluate the TLO${stuff}
if I was on a shadowknight and did a/bcaa //bc ${Me.Class.Name}everyone would say "Shadow Knight"
if I was on a shadowknight and did a/noparse /bcaa //bc ${Me.Class.Name}everyone would say what THEIR class was
I know. It was just supposed to be a joke. @Sic has always been super helpful to me and I’ve cented accordingly. I was just trying to be a little funny. He's "redcent rich" because he helps people who ask questions that get answered a million times. J/S
Now I need a way to figure out Restless Assault. The split in to 4, and looking for a "blue" something is not working. Being color blind and target ring seems to be my issue. Outside of that problem, I can run that Mission easily.
Seeking the Sorcerer, I need to find a way to keep the adds hating on the war. They seem to focus on my healers which screw me... May just use SHM to punt them and play with mechanics a bit.

UPDATE:
Original crew WAR, SHM, WIZ, BRD. Added two new members to my crew. Ranger and Cleric (Cleric and SHM may be a waste of space.) With new members at 111, I can finish grik in one drop. Doing about 2.8 Mil DPS.

Anyways, thanks for all the suggestions and help. Still learning on how to be a BMF.
They do not follow traditional agro mechanics. They zero in on a random character and stay focused on them. Use the ground spawn to control them and all will be fine.
