Hey all,

If you are not on Next and you want to take advantage of the updates done for the new expansion you'll have to convert to using MQNext. Since redguides is transitioning to Next as their only build in the near future we started updating the new spells lists with the understanding that the Legacy version of Very Vanilla would no longer be supported at redguides, so opted not to update the spells for Legacy.

With that said all the spells have been updated. But only on Next. So when you're ready to enjoy the new expansions and the new abilities that come with it, you'll need to migrate to Next.

If you're not aware there is a MacroQuest Migration tool available to help you transition from Legacy to Next and get you moving in the right direction in short order. If just the overview for the resource for the migration tool isn't enough for you and you need a little bit more assistance you can always check out the guide done by Sic.

For those of you that were asking if the spells were updated for the new Expansion or reported issues with the plugins not casting new spells when manually memorized and are still using the Legacy version of Macroquest, we apologize for the inconvenience. We've been pushing to get people moved over to next to avoid issues like this and we don't want to leave you behind. So join us on the "Next" iteration of MacroQuest!

Thank you for this update Chat. I've forwarded this off to my guild, since a few people were asking. I'm sure there are going to be complaints, but I have been warning people to switch over.

Nope, having them go to the windows XP complaint box.. cause yes people are still complaining about that too.

Super cool my guys are using 116 spells day one of the new xpac. Thanks for all the work you do CWTN and Sic!

I was curious how the CWTN class plugins update with new spells and abilities when a new expansion comes out. Is it automatic or a updated version of the plugin?

The updates aren't "automatic" in the sense that we have to go into the code and update all the things that makes it use the new spells, aa's, discs, etc.
They are automatic in the sense that you as a user shouldn't have to do anything but download the updated plugins using the launcher.

But as Sic mentioned, if you're planning to use the plugins in ToL you'll need to swap to next as is mentioned in the last link on his response.

I primarily play on test, and have tried switching to next in the past, but it wasn't exactly kept up to date. Is this changing going forward? I.e., can we expect test to be updated with the same frequency vanilla was?

Thanks in advance!

Just wondering if all the MQ2 Plugins...which I own everyone :) has added the Luclin expansion spells and toons adjusted...I'm sure that it might take Sic and the guys sometime to maximize the spells per class....

Howdy robkey,

Yup, we had the plugins updated before release.

You will want to make sure you're running MQ "Next"

first stickied thread in the cwtn section.

if you had looked there or posted in the correction location, you would have seen it :)

Are the individual character specific plug in's like mq2mage set up for using above level 115 spells and abilities yet? I can't figure out how to use them.

Hello,
With the release of ToL and the new levels past 115, how do we update CWTN plugins to begin using the new spells and abilities? I notice on my Mage and Beastlord that they are still using the <115 spells rather then the new lvl 116 spell. I haven't looked at my Berzerker yet but I imagine it is the same for that toon as well.

The plugins do everything for you. So yes, if you have the spell the plugin will use it for you. You probably need to move to Next. There's a migrator that will do that for you to.

Yes , I believe it was stated that 116 and above are for Next only ? I may be wrong, but it really is worth changing over, only takes a few minutes and works so much better. You'll be forced over eventually anyway, so may as well take advantage of it now :)

Good Luck !

Finally got back on and around to updating to mqnext. Everything seemed to go ok except the eqbcs does not load. The CWTN class plugins work fine, they loaded the new spells and started buffing as soon as I logged in. Not sure what I missed.
restart your computer. you probably have more than one eqbc server running at a time.

restart then right click on the MQ icon

and click "Start EQBC Server"

That is what you're supposed to get. That's the EQBC Server running. Now in game you /bccmd connect
I didn't allow myself to go further. Last night when I tried it, it would not let me connect. I tried again this morning and that is working now. Is there a plugin I need to load for the "come to me" and "follow me" commands?

First time using plugins, but would appear that all the casts/discs being used on various characters are still the 110-115 variety at level 119. That to be expected? Just didn't want to miss the boat on something.

I was just wondering if the MQ2 plugins you pay for are going to be able to work with the new level cap and spells. I have not been able to use them and have my guys use the new spells they have it just uses the level 115 spells.

I have CWTN plugin for Sk who is lvl 120 and he has not used a single spell above lvl 115. Also i have the rogue plugin and ber and shaman and none use any spells above 115. any help would be appreciated thanks

How do u get your plugins to auto load and cast there new lvl 116-120 spells ? thank you
