Question - TLP Epics

What are your thoughts on epics in luclin? Specifically for melee dps classes and not ones like cleric epic which is a huge help. Are they still worth it or are other better weapons easy to obtain. Specifically limited for stuff a 2-3 group box crew can do.

Warrior, cleric, ranger, mage, bard, and chanter epics play a huge role still. others are great utility, but can easily be substituted with very little or no rationalization.

Bard is almost a must if you want to melee with him too imo.
Monk is great if you don't have a bard in group, at least get the robe done for JWWS.
Rogue is important for haste if you don't have at least 36%
Warrior can get better or equal to if you have the crew or the plat. I wanted War epic during Velious still but now its not on my list anymore. (I didnt want to buy scales, don't think I could 3 group trak or serv. until PoP geared.)
Sk is important if tanking bosses, helps make up for no defensive.
Pally - unsure, never had a Pally epic'd
Ranger is pretty decent, If I used a ranger I'd work on that one.

Thanks for the input. I was also curious how much aa's would help in luclin. Like would my three groups be able to do VS or Trak.

Also, when does the level cap come off dragons? I really don't want to pay for scales either but lots of the epics mentioned require them.

Bard - a must until deep into POP
Monk - a must because it's a free 40 attack power buff no matter what you have in your group/raid, and, most importantly, changes your fist damage to 23/26, which you can't replace without raid weapons.
SK - no, you can get better dps weapons, and it's a terrible tanking weapon
Paladin - no, same as SK, except its a better tanking weapon than the SK epic
Ranger - yes if you need slow procs, no otherwise you can get better items from the bazaar
Warrior - Yes if you can't get raid drops (boc/hategiver/etc)
Rogue - eh, the haste is nice for an offhand
Cleric - yes
Enchanter - nah, only good for tank buffing, or quick hasting if you just died
Mage epic - nah, at this point fire pets are retarded damage
wizard epic - no
beastlord - yes, unless you can get raid gear
druid - no
necro - no
shaman - no, but it's really easy to get
