Here is the first exploit for Orum and Combine Empire Merchant faction for you all. There is a prestep to do this. Will need mq2pax and a warp. FD classes can do solo. Here is the prequest,This starts in Katta Castrum:
--------------------------------
You say, 'Hail, Prime Researcher Elnot Waymun'

Prime Researcher Elnot says 'Good day to you _____. Or as good as it can be in these [dark times].'

You say, 'Dark times?'

Prime Researcher Elnot Waymun says 'Do you even need to ask? You should know better than I that the skies are darkening and there is a mystery even to the wise among us. The [grave peril] that our city finds itself in must be related to the dark skies but try as I might I cannot discover the link!

You say, 'Grave peril?'

Prime Researcher Elnot Waymun says 'All you see around you is protected from the cold, dark sea above us by a single artifact atop the central tower that is known as the Pellarus Satum. It is this artifact that provides this protective dome of magic over our heads and in turn, through several smaller artifacts, safeguards other regions we used to oversee.' But now all of that is [failing]!

You say, 'How is it failing?'

Prime Researcher Elnot Waymun says 'Every day the Pellarus Satuum grows [weaker]. At first it was only the faintest darkening, but now anyone can see that the light within has dimmed and with it he protective domes have begun to fail. I just received word that fissures in the magic have started to appear in the Zhisza! Can it be too long before Katta Castrum itself is swallowed by the seas as Prexus had intended!'

You say, 'Weaker?'

Prime Researcher Elnot Waymun says 'No one knows why the Pellarus Satum is failing but we would not be the Combine if we did not have at least two theories being pursued! As you may know, our current location is due to a, uh, misunderstanding we had with Prexus. Some here believe that Prexus himself is the cause of our misfortune and has returned to finish his work. Our second theory is less refined. We don't know what is causing the Pellarus Satum to fail but we believe the Sphinx may hold the answer. That is the tack I wish to [pursue].

You say, 'Pursue?'

You receive Combine Signet Ring.

You have been assigned the task 'A City in Peril'.

There is only a single step for this task:

Go and speak with Associate Researcher Plik (Katta Castrum)

You say, 'Hail, Associate Researcher Plik'

Associate Researcher Plik says 'Ahh so Prime Resaercher Elnot sent you to speak with the sphinx about our [problem], yes?
------------------------------------------

Take the Knowledge for power quest, the zone in to the static zone is on a pad southwest part of zone. Zone into Jewel of Atiiki, then find your way (use the compass to Jewel of Atiiki: Knowledge for Power).
Target Yinihortinkah and then trigger the event by
/hailtarget
/saytarget ready
When the waves are completed saytarget what is causing the power sources to fail?
Once it has started warp loc 1212 221 4.
When the waves are completed saytarget "what is causing the power sources to fail?"
now hail Plik in Katta Castrum for completion.

This quest takes 3 toons to trigger and is available every 45 minutes. Reward is 50 Orum and faction per toon.Once have seen the mechanics will be able to do the actual work in moments. Once the seekers are activated you simply wait.

also soloable with sos.

but rewards scale with how often a task is done.

it's down to 25 on our server at this point, has been since last night.

I can't believe they are lowering the reward based on how many people do a mission. Shouldn't it be based on how many times each person has done it? By the time I find somethin to do, others must have found it cause I get nothing but faction and plat.

yea i have to say that is pretty lame. what is the point? i am glad i got the expansion only on one toon.

The point is so that one mission doesnt end up being the only one that gets done because its the easiest a la Dain missions. Presumably, while the reward goes down for the missions everyone likes, the reward goes up for lesser used ones.

There is another griffin upstairs who says a message backwards.

Something to the effect of clear the lower level to avoid being detected.

Legit is a bitch but if you spread out and put 2 people at the entrance in the cubbies you should be ok.

We did this like 10 times yesterday and every so often you just have to get a new one. Nothing will stop you from getting detected.

Also it's proximity aggro at 150 range through walls.

There are 3 rooms that are alternatingly safe, during each type of scheme.

Azia- Zone in is safe. South room is not safe! Southwest room safe.

Beza- Zone in is safe. South room has safe spots.

Caza- Zone in is safe. South room has safe spots.

Dena- Zone in not safe. Southwest room has a safe spot.

Ena- Zone in not safe. South room has safe spots.

If you stay in the South Center room on the south center part of the room you will be safe for all but Azia (spelling?) If that search pattern is called head out the room and to the west into the SW room. This isn't guarenteed every time as sometimes they roam around between the SW and south room.

if you have effects on you can see the blue sparkles that represent the searchers.

By far the easiest way to do this is to have everyone crowd into the alcoves where the firepots are. Then go get a drink, watch some TV or something until it ends. The searchers enter the room, and don't see you if you are back there.

LOS doesnt matter, its a straight radius of detection for a range of ~80

The only safe location is South middle except when Azia search comes up (20% chance each time). As long as the previous searc pattern was Caza or Ena you can just run out of room and to left and just wait it out in the corner. After they search Azia you can move back as long as the next search pattern is Caza or Ena.

If they go to search Azia from Dena or Beza, or go to search Dena or Beza from Azia there is no escape short of warping.

After 4 searches they don't find anyone you complete 1 wave. If they catch you but you have completed a wave or two already, you still keep the credit for those completions and just have to go start the search process again and complete the remanining waves only (3 total).

By simply standing in the middle south room (Azia search) you can win by attrition usually within the 45 minute lockout timer.

Just set an audio trigger for "Azia". When it fires, just ran back up and start the search again. With only a 20% chance per search of being Azia the odds are in your favor.

I've run the mission a couple of times, and even though the mobs wander into the zone-in room, they don't detect you behind the fire pots. The end of the mission is actually kind of boring.

Possible zploit :)
Ill give it a try on my server and see itf it works here also.

Bleh, didn't work for me.

What is your exact position?

In the zone-in room, there are 2 alcoves each has a firepot. Hop over the firepot and squeeze in betweem the wall and pot. (I believe we were all shrunk, though I'm not sure it makes a difference to be honest.) Rogue kicked it off and stood hidden behind the throne.

Grr, I can't get either alcove to work for me.

Would be nice to figure it out as I don't use warp/etc....

This is just a thought, not a "sky is falling" lecture, but this task seems to have been designed in such a way as to make an excellent warp trap. I don't know if SOE is clever enough to do it, but when you can't reasonably monitor everything, set up a sting operation to bring your offenders to you.

Yes, I am a little paranoid, so ignore me :)

FOUND another exploit, can be done wit ha nice little rogue and sos.

find structural engineer in katta castrum. say "do it" to him. this gives you the mission a crack in the dome. he gives the quest leader a device that repairs the domes. (make sure rogue is quest leader) (the device has a 30 sec click so be careful with wandering mobs stay out of LOS) rogues zones in, your quest gives you three things to do and all are find the crack i nthe domes. red con invisible men. BEFORE you trigger that you found the dome, click your repair device to repair the crack. you get a update saying you repaired the crack, then get close enough to trigger the you have found a crack in the dome. do this for the next two. when all are repaired, have friend in katta hail the engineer. boom 55 orux. there is no task timer on this. so it goes repair find, repair find, repair find, hail. 7 min tops then drop task and get a new one. max ally in 4 hours and 3k orux. it went from 55 orux a win up to 63 now its back down to 55. if you dont do it right when inside the mission you will get these mobs that have a HUGE agro range. but yeah we did it for liek 3 hours last night before the exp day was over and went from apprehensive to amiable.

BTW we did this only using the map option in macroquest. we did not warp around. so this is pretty legit.

how do you avoid the mobs during the 30 sec cast time? the few times I tried this mission, there was a Snake that pretty much perma camped the area near one of the cracks.

some are los, just gotta stay out of sight or just pull away and evade, they usually never path back. but most the time you just had to find a safe spot to cast. had a rogue blowing these out of the water and only time i warped was to help him pull the large agro range mobs away so he could cast. i hope they didnt nerf it with this mornings patch.

The key is to be huddled in the Westernmost alcove. We've found that shrink or small character illusion works the best. The eastern alcove can be sensed from the hallway that runs behind it.

think they nerf it cause when i try to run off with the mobs and evade the insta cast a fd on me so ah im not sure (add)--->ok i got um away from it a ways and i thought i could do it but nope they came flying back for me once i tryed to clicky it

it can be done, its not nerfed, were doing it right now. just gotta be patient and dont trigger the crack, repair the crack first then trigger once all are done, friend hails mob, and u drop task so u pop back at tents. just gotta be patient u will pick up your groove. lot of rogues doing this now on my server =P

yeah just noticed that sry thank you for the info on this on my server im getting 80 orux per run doing it in like 2 min

You can do without sos or fd just use the setgrav plugin.
1. Target crack
2. Warp to target
3. Setgrav to -1
4. Target next crack
5. Warp to it
etc.

Can cast the fix crack thing while floating above it.

was trying to do an actual exploit without setgrav i mean if they gonna look at your logs they gonna see you doin odd stuff and then poof ban stick. might as well do it legit wise especially since its a brand new expansio nand they are monitoring it to see how well people are playing it.

Take care with this. As a lark I tried it after the last patch, as soon as I hailed the mob, 10 genie's spawned at her location and headed directly for us.
