Okay this bug hopefully will get me into the running of the winners circle and hopefully update my membership or something lol.

I love to powerlevel my toons in instances in dodh that respawn. Specifically with items that drop that I can farm. Thing is I can powerlevel a level 46 with a level 75 in a dodh mission because of the level gap. Well boys and girls, I foudn a way around that. This will work with any toon any level to get them into those dodh missions with your level 75's.

Here we go....

A level 1 can join a level 75 in a monster mission. So bring your below level toon to icewell keep, bring the rest to the mission giver in dodh, whatever guy that might be. Have your below level guy get the dain mission and choose the dain as his toon and zone in. Oncein the mission he is now flagged as level 65. Drop the whole group from the mission and before he gets kicked from the instance get the dodh mission. Because hes flagged as level 65 he gets the mission and can zone in.

Hope you enjoy this bug.

Also, you know all those dodh mission that have gear with no level requirement as a reward? Yea you get that too, at level 1 no less!!!!!

So starting a new toon? What him with those uber belts, earrings, rings, masks, cloaks ect? This bug is for you!!

Want to put your level 46 toon in your mission to gain exp? This bug is for you!!

Redcents and pats on the back accepted!!

EDIT: We will call lower level toon Newbie.

N
  • Have Newbie in a group with the level 75's
  • Have Newbie goto Icewell keep and get the Dain mission (any)
  • Have Newbie choose his toon as the Dain and enter the instance.
  • Since Dain is a Monster Mission newbie can join at any level.
  • When Newbie is in the instance he is now level 65.
  • Have Newbie drop the Monster Mission for himself and everyone else in group.
  • Since Newbie now shows as level 65 now whatever his true level is, he can join in DoDH Missions.
  • Before Newbies Dain instance drops get a DoDH Mission with your level 75.
  • Newbie is now part of that DoDH Mission and can get the rewards.

Awesome bug, haven't tested it out yet but sounds pretty neat if it works. Have a redcent and a pat on the back.

Would help if you knew how to write better. I think you may have been to excited about discovering a bug to clearly describe the process. Please clean it up and pay attention to details.

I dont see how this does not describe it accuratly.

I dont think he was misjudged in what he said I think I know what You are saying but I too think u may have been a bit excited which i prolly would have been to hehe but You really weren't making a whole lot of sense in a couple of those sentences This def sounds red cent worthy just try and explain a lil better :-)

for the retarded:

Lower levels cant get into DoDH MM's because the average level of the group will drop too low. To counteract this put the lower level toon into the Dain 1 MM and they will be lvl 65. Drop the Dain 1 mission and invite to the DoDH MM while you are still in the Dain 1(you have 2 min till booted). This beats the average group level too low warning.

Why is this good? There is a bunch of 175 hp/mana gear from the DoDH MM that has no minimum rec level on it, so you get full stats at lvl 1.

Great find!

the Skull of Den Lord clickies and mask are both no level required, and it's 250hp gear, just to give you an example of how good the gear can get.

Hey thx dobey for making it more clear although I think ure statement for the retarded was less than needed Thx again :-)

Haven't done too many DoDh's just yet. Could anyone suggest one that I could use to gear up and PL my lvl 51 cleric? I'd be using a 70 paladin and 70 ranger along with the 51 cleric.

Btw... redcent to you!

What races? Are you farming too?

If your races are gnomes, I would suggest Find Fibblerap 1 or 5 since the stuff for AAAA's drop in there and theres respawn. Just dont complete the mission and you can stay there for 6 hours. If your going for gear, do the Deep Levithan arc, all the gear that comes from there is no level req and nice mana regen attack hps hp regen.

Look up hard layered mask too and do that mission. I also think is Wurine cloak of some kind cant remember the name, also no level req.

This bug is really gonna help people get shit! And get nice exp.

I will work on a list.

Sweet! Thanks a ton!
Paladin and ranger are half elves of tunare. Cleric is human of innoruuk.
I'll check those out though. Would really like to get my cleric geared and maybe get some stuff for my ranger as well.

Leviathan and 68 series don't have rec or required levels on them. All 150+hp, 68 series seems to have alot of ds mods on them too.

Is it only good for loot or would the lower lvl actually get exp as if they were lvl 65 or any exp at all? It took a few reads to figure out what you meant, but you've certainly got me licking my lips. Good find.

They would very shortly be kicked out of the Monster Mission and return to their normal self, so no, they would not be considered 65 for xp.

Thanks for this find N !!

I just did the 68 arc using a level 5 shammy... he now has around 1.4k in hp and mana :)

Problem is this level 1 character will only get XP alongside the level 70-75 in the new mission, if that new mission is a monster mission, and then the XP is too low for it to really be worth anything IMO. Regular (non-monster) missions that level low won't get any XP due to the level difference. The reason you don't get good XP in a monster mission is that from what I saw you didn't get XP for kills, just the shard you loot at the end, and that amount of XP seems to be a set amount per level. At level 28 I think I got like 20% for 45 minutes of work (that's the lockout time on MM's), I can probably PL 2 full levels or more using a train, me tanking with DS and the baby just giving 1 pt. damage to everything.

The upside though for this, baby will have a chance for some loot that isn't level restricted.

Up to level 46, the old fashion way to PL with DS works a lot faster compared to this, at level 46 you can get XP alongside a leverl 70.
