I may try writing a macro for this but here is basic information. My necro has gone from 58 - 64 with tasks only and with timer I do other things in between. Each task pays between 73pp and 111pp and 5% - 25% exp depending on lvl, not bad for 5 minutes. Lookout Below takes 2-3 minutes

I will be working on other classes as well to see if they change.

Funny, I posted about the benefits of tasks a few months ago and got no response to it. I am glad though that people are starting to find what I found out a very very long time ago after they were added. Taskmasters are a vastly overlooked system and everyone should take the time to see just what they can do for you. Now I know it is not as fast as say the Bard macroing, but not all of us have bards, and quite truthfully mq2 would mean far far less if bards did not exist lol. I do the same tasks as you have posted here, as well as all the short tasks from OT up till I was lvl 62. What I do is a short task (5-10 min for 13% AA), bounce over to PoN and charm kite (15 min for 10-12%AA), then back to another short task for another 13% AA. Doing this, I am getting roughly 50-55% AA per hour. I have dreamed of this becoming automated for some time. Even take out the PoN time and just port to POK while I wait out the timer to start the next task. With that I still get almost 40% AA per hour and could just let it run 24/7. Your talking 8 AA's a day and never have to fight to do it LOL. Best part is, it CAN be done w/o warping or anything that can get you noticed and banned. Well as a druid it makes it alot easier since I can port to most places and I bind myself right at the taskmaster in DL.

What's the lockout timer between these task? And can you one than one back to back or are they all on same lockout like DoN? If they have separate lockout's I'll write 1 macro to do them all otherwise I'll just see which is the best and make a mac for that, and go from there.

Well I do not think it is a lockout as much as a minimum timer to do the task. I have finished a task before and had 15 min till he would give me another, then do a task again and have 10 min. on timer till get another. I guess that is a lockout so to speak, but it varies based off how long you took to do the task. I think it is total around 20 min till next available task from the start of the one you are on. I know i can get in 3 task per hour, or just over an hour. I do not do the ones to Veksar cause too many hard hitting mobs that see thru camo to afk it. The same goes for Karnor's but the mobs are low enough lvl that if I keep running, the train does not catch me or do much damage. Besides, when heading for a location for the task, there is no need to stop running if you know the /loc. You just keep running right on thru it and it updates the task for you.

I have been doing the short tasks out of Gunthak as a 58 Mage. About 13% AA per short, they take about less than 5 minutes once I have my keys set up. In Gunthak there seems to be about a 28 minute lockout for new task requests from the time I accept a task till they will give me another. If you accept a task and walk away for 25 minutes, you can do that task and immediately get another upon completion of the first. Just my experience, your mileage may vary. Something else you may have noticed that I just found out. For the final hail of the task, you don't have to be near them, just have to have them targeted.

Guys that give the tasks is Assistant Vagli in the farthest hut away from the lighthouse on that island. He gives some short tasks that involve killing but I keep declining till i get one of these. I always make sure to invis, not that you have to, but I don't want to cause a train in the middle of someone's camp.

All are just zone and warp with a little running, very easy. I have only tried a couple of the medium and long tasks, gave up with it when i found they were taking longer than waiting for another short and I was loosing exp with the longer ones.

I have been trying to get into tasks but I pretty much only get the kill X number of mobs that caneasily wipe the floor with my 62 Cleric ...

It's fine the way it is

Shortest task is Lookout Below and really only takes time to zone loc zone target hail. Think it leaves 27 minutes until next task so 30 minutes is good guess.

If anyone can do anything in between tasks that takes some time that would be an awesome macro.

After EQ servers are back up and I can jerry rig an MQ2 enough that I can see Window Labels I'll toss together a quick mac for each of these with all of the request I received, so keep posting info and I'll keep writting macs. I just can't remember the correct UI labels for task off the top of my head atm. If we get enough info we can start 1 long thread and have macros for task for each class, so help me out and post the info, and I'll do the writting.

LOL I think they are on serveral toons just not sure if it's lvl specific - or maybe if you didn't start them at a lower lvl you can't get them...just like in new tutorial.

Ruh roh I see a problem... With the random task available that is going to make it really hard to automate 100% afk. They need a static list. You might be runing your Lookout Below macro, but you may not even see that in tasklist when you request. This will cause some problems.

The way I'm going to have to do it is going to be a very complex macro lol. Going to need to get info on every task that each of the taskmaster's gives. Then just pick 1 of the slots and do an event on "You have been assigned "Task Name" to do that task.

We'll have to break up the info on the task by Lvl/Taskmaster. So we'd have separate macros for each Taskmaster and lvl range.

The task masters in DL all give out the exact same task so that makes it easier :P Basically what I need some one to do is go to the various Taskmasters and gather info. I need lvl range, zone which taskmaster is in, taskmaster name, a list of the short task with locs/npcs, and then just a list of names for the medium duration task. If when finding info on the shorts if they require killing npcs and crap don't worry about them just put under the name have to kill npc. Then I'll add that to exclude list. On Medium's I only need the name of the task so I can exclude it. However, if you feel like investigating them maybe some don't require killing and we could mac for more exp/money. This is going to be a lot of work going to need a couple people helping me out on this. Having the macro with the ability to do multiple task = good thing doesn't look obvious that we macing the same task over and over.

these macro's are all fine, but not even gonna use them sorry LOL. All these zones are too popular on my server to be warping and zoning all over the place like that. I was hoping someone had a way to put together the macros without the warping and just leave them running and porting where i need to. That way you could total afk these if the macro could get the tasks on it's own. Guess I better get to work on trying to write macros lol.

These aren't macros they're just the info on the task. These won't do shit atm lol. If you go through and get exact locs of the exact path you want to run I can make it do that. Otherwise I'm just going to make a mac that does task with warping :P You're in the zone for less than a min highly unlikely the noob will even know that you are warpin around.
