Question - /stopsong for bard casting Question

Do I have to put a /stopsong in a Bard social to have it execute a /cast 1? It makes have to click the button twice. Is it needed?

if you are using mq, you could use a mq multiline

/multiline ; /stopsong; /timed 5 /cast 1

that should do topsong, then half a second later do /cast 1

you can have 5 lines on an EQ social key ..

/pause 140,/melody 1 2 3 4
/pause 20,/stopsong
/pause 30,/cast 5
/pause 10,/stopsong
/melody 1 2 3 4

this lets me run my melody for 14seconds stops cast my spell (song) in slot 5 stops singing then return to my melody ..

you could also just account for your spell depending on what it is you want to sing .. in the melody itself

/melody 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 5 .

in the above example ^ I put a cast 5 in my melody roughly every 90secs .. without having to put any /stopsong in there..
