Hello folks just started up a new group and one of the toons i have included is a Rogue when when i run Kiss the roge constaly sneeaks. And its a pain when moving a whole group because the rogue goes out of range of MA and chase turns off. So the questions is, is there a way to stop the rogue from constantly sneaking. Here is the Rogues INI file.

I believe this is a MQ2Melee issue. It is prolly doing a combo sneak/hide/others to maximize the backstab bonus. Look at:
Rich (BB code):
assassinate=0|1 [off|on] Activate the assassinate skill (ie. Sneak, Hide, move behind target, activate Strike disc, backstab).

And if not that, check:
Rich (BB code):
sneak=0|1 [off|on] Will try to sneak if not in combat

Kiss also does this under [Combat]
Rich (BB code):
AutoHide=0

I was having this problem too with my new rogue, the autohide worked for me b4 reading here....

my problem is my rogue is not auto backstabbing and i set it to 1 on eqmelee and it shows it is set on, but it isnt doing backstabs...any ideas?? hes lvl 11 atm

maybe i can build in to kiss Autohide feature only sneak if attacking a mob while chase is on

Tried all the amove and make sure mq2 melee was loaded properly even doing /plugin and still has the same issue. Here is the server_charactername.ini file for the mq2Melee section.

[MQ2Melee]
enrage=1
facing=1
infuriate=1
melee=1
plugin=1
rallos=0
resume=75
stickrange=75
assassinate=0
sneak=0
version=8.100

Rog sneak + hide backstab is only good for the first bs with dagger disc activated.

sneak and hide during the fight helps to lower aggro.

Hi folks,
Where can I find and open my mq2melee.ini file? whats the default location? I'm trying to change my rogues to not sneak/hide all the time and drop the ranger camo.

Most call it the "release" folder, altho I did not allow that folder to be created during installation (just myself). It is the parent folder of your "macros" folder... (up one). Mine is called MQ2.

In the MQ2 parent folder you will find your macroquest.ini, any plugins inis like MQ2AutoAccept.ini etc. You will also find any servername_toonname.ini that holds things like your MQ2Melee settings, various MQ2Twist settings, MQ2AASpend settings, etc etc... and that is also where people put their holyshit/downshit code (if you ever wondered).

MQ2Melee doesn't have it own file but rather inserts into the file mentioned above (parent folder (MQ2), servername_toonname.ini). Now it could be that the MQ2Melee settings are NOT in that file yet. If that is the case, issue a /melee save in-game and all the current settings will insert into that file. Then you can open it and make any adjustments to the settings you need.

Remember, if you change the ini and that toon is already logged, the affects will not take place until you log out that toon, or issue a /melee reload in-game.

make sense?

If you want to make sure you are backstabbing all the time, even if you are in front of the mob (for whatever reason)

holyshit0=/if (${Me.AbilityReady[Backstab]}) /doability Backstab
