Stange thing GM thing happened, Anyone else experience this?

I zone into butcher and all of the sudden my GM alert starts going off

I did a who GM and nothing shows up as a GM anywhere.

The GM names were
GM Cmdr Elfslicer
GM Ltnt Crushbash
GM An Orc Diciple

I was able to target them on the map so I thought maybe this is a bug so I go to Illia Beastiery and I list all mobs for butcher and none of these three mobs are listed.. There was only me in the zone at first.

Anyone know what this is or why this would happen?

They were Guides. Guides probably doing some kind of event or setting up an event.

Ok makes you freak out when you zone into a zone and then GM's zone in right after you . Thanks

There have been time when GM played like an NPC and wouldn't show up in /w all. I remember that one time when there was a scavenger hunt on Maelin, there were 2 "NPC"s in Steamfront mountain, neither of them existed in EQ bestiary.

I've seen this a few times PL'ing in Unrest. GM will take the form of Crazed Goblin and ask me what I'm doing.

That's when you just kill it...hey, the freaky crazed goblin started talkin to you.

Haha, thats great. Should be able to one hit a goblin by the power leveler.
