11.005
When did your problem start?
Not a problem it is a question.
Character Role?
  1. Assist
What class is having this issue?
  1. Shaman
How often does this issue occur?
Always
Within KA how do I know if I need to cast the spell? How do I know if I need to cast it more than once? If conds are required would someone share those conds? Thanks

KA has a nice section with most of the info needed right here

Robban thank you for that input but with my current knowledge of KA I have no idea how to detect if someone in my group has a poison/disease dot.

KA will report to everyone else in the group their buffs and debuffs. If you put that spell into the cure section it will be casted on the toons that report back the items needing cured. Just make sure you specify what that spell currently cures in the ini.

As for people not running KA and getting those cured I’m not an expert. Been out of the game for to long.

as for an INI I understand that replaces blood of Nadox. Find and ini with it and copy how it’s setup.

Half of my group is not on my LAN.
CTaylor explained to me that when it comes to buffing ... If a connection to each of the PC's require them to travel outside your local network(WAN) then currently there isn't a simple way of doing this.
So my need to instantly remove a poison/disease dot in my grp is not possible. /sad

An option that may be out of your reach is to get all the machines that are running EQBC to connect to a central server. I at one time used to host my EQBCS on a public facing server and all the machines I was using would connect to it. That way I could control my friends toons and vice versa from 100 miles away. This could happen with port forwarding at your house too if you know what you are doing. Just be aware that are caveates to that as there are no protections from rogue attackers hitting that service and potentially over taking the server as a worst case and best case causing you grief through issuing commands to your toons.

I believe the solution I need is to grab the buff file via internet from the other half of my grp and add it to my buff file and remove the previous buff data from my grp across internet so the file will not grow fast in size and do so in a secure manner. No clue how to do that. :) The [Cures] section would resolve my problem if all chars were on my LAN.

@shu, This is one of those things, way back in the day when I had plenty of time. I was going to write a VB script that would keep multiple kissassist_buffs.ini file synced. So when one ini file got updated the updates would get merged into all the other kissassist_buffs.ini files. You would just have to have a way to see the read/wright to the ini file across the network(s). There was no real need for it, so I didn't have a lot of motivation to do it. You could eliminate many issues if there was a utility that could be setup to keep the kissassist_buffs.ini file synced on multiple PC's.

@Knightly DropBox might be an option, but how would you share the kissassist_buffs.ini file in your macros folder to you dropbox? Or how would you reference the path to the dropbox folder location? Opening a file from a macro uses a relative reference from the MQ2 instance /macro folder. Has that been changed where you can use a direct path(C:\FolderName\FolderName\) to a file, or would you still need to use the "..\..\" or how ever you tell the macro to use the parent directory's, parent directory?
