Request - Shaman as a Main Healer ini?

Does anyone use their Shaman as a main healer? I am trying to use a 101 Shaman to heal my 105 warrior in Katta. With only the Shaman healing, my warrior is spiking like crazy and occasionally dies. Shaman heals seem to be too slow to keep this stable. Other group members are 2 Zerkers, Bard and Wizard, so dps isn't the problem as these die pretty quickly. I have checked the other Shaman ini files posted in the ini post, but they are set up to be back up healers/Dps. Any help would be great, thanks!

You need to set your heals higher if your spiking.

Make sure your shaman isnt doing alot in dps section if he is healer limit him to just slowing. And casting lion maybe epic.

use your aoe heal intervention i wouldnt recomend hots because that is a extra cast that will just slow him down.

My 100 shaman heals fine. My sk can pull multiples

I only use shaman to heal!!

I set mine to 99 because the way kiss heal logic is coded is similliar to EQ real time , its going to find the most current spell that's up , based of the cooldown timer for spells and cast that spell first

Think it really depends on your tank how well your shaman will do as the only healer. Not to mention the content and mob DPS. As a poorly geared warrior, think I'm in the same boat as you. I made an INI trying to do everything and if I am in a CoTF T1 zone, no problem at all with my shaman easily healing, slowing, dotting and even nuking. In Thulisuar, near death experience every pull.

Even after I prioritized it so he didn't cast a DoT, still slow. I could see his spam heal was up, but there was a second or two delay (I'm using a different shaman mac than KISS). Think I'm gonna streamline the INI and use multiple INI's depending on what I'm doing.

I want one INI where he is basically a healer merc and only heals (and slow). Not doing any DPS, not checking buffs, not trying to debuff beyond counterbias slow and if it didn't land the first time, forget about it as my warrior will not survive waiting on heals because of a recast of slow. Just heal. That INI will be for doing stuff like DH HA's, so I don't have to have a healer merc up and instead can have 3 caster mercs. Or easier content than that. My warrior is just not well geared enough to have my shaman be main healer beyond that for now. Not reliably anyway. I'm going to delete any section of the INI not related to healing. Hopefully that makes him heal faster.

Then I want an INI where he concentrates on debuffs and DPS and just back-up heals. Don't think I need more INI's than that.

Outside of that, I'd keep your two highest level of "reckless" healing up. They're fast casting big heals, but too long of a delay to spam. My "mending" line of heal is what I have my shaman spam heal, but if my tank drops to 70%, the shaman will use one of the reckless heals.

wannabe, you have Blezon's Resource instead of Recourse.

re shm healing, i always use surge and recourse first, before even considering reckless. the waves of healing from those are legit. and i often use a down, not holy, to keep up a group hot. that way it never casts in combat, but is running the majority of the time.

Ok, swapped it to where I have my shaman always using Surge if up and my warrior is 99%-80% health, otherwise he'll cast mending and since Surge is 10s delay, he still mends a bit more than Surge. My shaman is over-healing :D and I like it! Not worried about mana cost, he can always canni. I'm pretty conservative on running my group and was using a pure heal INI on shaman to do DH HA's, but after changing the heals around, I loaded up my shaman's DPS INI and he was easily able to keep my warrior up, debuff better as well as DPS. Although with 2merc casters and a wizbot that out DPS's those mercs easily, I'm gonna have to change his DPS set-up from using the 12s DoT's to just nuking since those mobs usually are dead @15s. Did a bunch of pulls with 3 mobs and a few with 4 or 5 and shaman still healed OK, although my enchanter mezzed them pretty fast to almost instant when in camp, so not like the adds had a chance to DPS on my tank much.

What do you guys think of Twinheal in a group setting? I can see it being huge in a raid, but for a group where 90% of the time, mending+surge without twinheal is already enough and for the other 10%, if it weren't, then I wouldn't have time to cast a non-heal "twinheal" spell and then the heal anyway. Not really a healer minded kinda guy, so maybe looking at it wrong.
