Problem - Shadowknight pet question

Hello. I recently started using Kissassist to level up a group of new characters. My group is now up to level 15 and I have already been able to learn a lot but I'm having some trouble with my SK and his pet. I want to use the SK in the role of PullerTank. It has mostly been working well except the pet loves to run out to the mob before it gets back to camp. I have to call the pet back to get the mob to get close enough for the SK and rest of the group to engage. If I try to keep going after the pet dies, I get a message that SK's live longer when they have pets. It will then summon a new one so the problem happens all over again. Once I run out of bone chips and it fails to summon a pet after a few tries the macro just ends.

I have tried changing things in the ini file but nothing has worked so far. I've set PetOn=0, PetCombatOn=0, Set the PetAssistAt percentage much lower, remved the pet spel from my spellset, and even tried deleting the pet section from the ini. Nothing has helped so far, I keep having the same problem. Because of this I end up having to play the SK on manual to keep things moving, which isn't too bad but I was hoping to be able to do some semi-afk leveling for a while until I can get them all ready to work on bigger things.
 
You could try to change your PetAttackDistance=10 or in range of what your other toons are set to attack at. or PetAssistAt=90 or something lower before he engages.

yeah at lower level you dont have "pet hold" which makes it so your pet won't attack until you tell it to, without it if you take any damage your pet will jump into combat - later on this ends up not being a problem. You get this at rank 1 of Companion's Discipline available at lvl 59 and SoL xpac

if you have PetOn=0 in your kiss ini you shouldn't get the messaged about needing a pet as if you have !${PetOn} it returns out of the DoPetStuff sub

Maybe you can have your pet "Guard Here" farther back from the rest of your group?

That has been working okay for me in the earlier levels, at least until I started making my Berserker pull for us (I mean). It won't stop the pet from attacking, but it tends to stop it from running way past the group.

I think pet sit might work better but I forget if you get that option early on. Pet sit makes the pet idle while guard has the pet ready to attack.
