Hi All, My SK constantly breaks mezz from my bard and I cant find where the problem is. Its probably something simple but I am still to new to kissassist/mq2 to know what is going on.

he's the tank , thats what he's supposed to do. otherwise everyone just sits around with their thumb up their arse for a minute waiting for mez to wear off and aggro someone

I'm curious. Why do you NOT want your Tank to break mez? Isn't that kind of the point is to have the tank lead the way for the group?
 
U have ae on. Hes also set to taunt more than 1 mob (at least that's what i see but i am a moron so chances r i'm reading this wrong). If hes breaking mez constantly before u want him to, set parameters so he doesnt. personally i just let my sk smash shit. i figure once its slowed it ain't gonna hurt him anyway. He's an sk. that means supahumantype killah. looks like u have tons of taps and some debuffs on the go there. just use your shield flash on any garbage pulls that u dont like, get them slowed and u r probably more than fine unless its 8+ mobs which would be rough regardless.


could also set some of that string of conditions to deal with larger groups example, blow a bigass defensive cooldown on something that you wouldn't normally be able to handle. If you are having issues with your tank breaking mez, hate to say it, its probably not the tank breaking mez thats the issue, its what's going on around him. See what other toons are doing on big pulls, tighten that up and tank breaking mez should become " working as intended" ( hopefully ) sorry. kinda looks like your tank is just randomly working thru his cooldowns, whatever is up would seem to be used. maybe set restrictions on that a bit so he has things available when they are needed for the crappier pulls.

can do this a few ways i think. possibly adding lv of mob restrictions for higher lv mobs with lower volume on the number of mobs to camp... or lower level mobs with higher volume in camp. really don't need to chain thru defensives with an sk on normal pulls. I suck. I use 2 hander alot on typical pulls (sometimes i even forget to switch before i run out and pull -- i do my pulling manually --) my guy is wearing group gear. but he is max aas for ToL. no NoS on him atm. i have no issues with mobs that dont snare my tank before i get back ( yep... had that happen a few times ). 1 - 3. i let shaman do his thing. 3+ bard kicks in. 5+ i burn something like shield flash. if my pull is reminiscent of Fear back in the day i use deflection... eventually the shaman and bard get their crap worked out and i am fine. I have wiped but its almost never to bad pulls. just to bad playing. or me being a lazy guy who counts on his SK to make up for it. Basically a long-winded way of saying, " set your defensives so they aren't wasted on stuff you dont need them for and your tank will be doing his job with his mez breaks.

If none of this makes sense. keep in mind im lazy, old and a baddie. CWTN, Sic, so many others can give u a better read of what's going on and how to fix it. its 453 am here. u got that level of thinking from a lazy. old, bad player heh

truly, Best of luck, hopefully your mez breaks become "working as intended"

Hey Nipples! (Great name btw)

Playing a class can often come down to personal preference, and I dont know what gear/AA/or what group you have so maybe i am wrong and you can tell me to stick it.

But some advice re: spell lineup.
  • Get rid of one Terror - add Parlay for Power (Hate & AC)
  • Get rid of the 2 AOE damage spells - unless in a AOE grp or something. In 95% of situations i dont even have my AE Hate loaded. You get a heap of AE hate AA - use them and you will find Oh yeah i really dont need to waste a gem.
  • Get rid of penumbral Line - its a waste.
  • Get rid of the dots....Only DOT worth keeping is the Bond of XXX Heal over time lifetap. (Can be on lots of different mobs at once)
  • Load up a spear. Can twincast a lifetap (Bifold) and then twincast your spear Trigger the SK Alliance in about 4 seconds. Of course this would imply you have 2 SK or Raiding and then you should include Covenant in your lineup as well.
  • Consider Cruor's Bite for the group mana and the Torrent of Melancholy for the AC steal.
  • Do Spire before you HT someone for extra boom.

Thanks ZD, I will work on this tonight and see if it will help fix breaking mezz on adds.
