Razkle's Quick and Easy Guide to stop Jealous MQ2ers

Ever notice that MQ2 tells you things about other players in a guild, like what rank they are? Well I tried an experiment and the results were... interesting.

If another MQ2er sees your group in an area he wants and he sees that your group are all the officers or better yet, the Guild Leader! Then his envy kicks in and he wants to ruin the top of a guild! So he is more likely to report your group. If you set all your boxes to MEMBER then the only think people see is Toon name and Guild name, no rank! Then people seeing you are more likely to believe you are simply a regular player, a cog in the wheel, and leave you be. I mean, you are NOT the MAN so he will let you go on your way. But if they can take down the BOSS, its /report time.

I switched all my toons to MEMBER of my guild and simply gave MEMBER all the rights of Senior Officer. I also have my Guild Leader a level 1 that is perma-parked in my guildhall.

Seems a little tinfoil hatty, but to each his own!! ;-)

It is more of a human nature thing then a tinfoil hat thing to me, I get your point on the paranoia of the concept but hear me out. People are willing to give equals a break, but leaders or officers of anything, they get a certain charge out of ruining the day of anyone in perceived power. Even if like me, you are an army of 300 that is actually an army of 1.....

It's pretty much a dead give away if you come across a group and they're all members of the same guild and all repeating the same actions irregardless of their rank. To even a normal player this looks funny. BUT, if you can see their rank and they're all officers then it's even more suspicious. Before MQ2, I would run across these guys once in a while. I never reported them. It never crossed my mind. BUT, you could tell what they were doing.

Honestly, if they're going to be that way, they're going to report you anyway. I don't think changing your rank is going to make much of a difference. But I do understand your point and understand how you arrive to that conclusion. Some people just dislike authority in general anyway as well. At the end of the day though, this is just a game.

To that end, I suppose you can make some "member", some "junior member", some of them "officer" etc.
