Question - Ranger on mount oscillating

Hi all,

I am using the command DPS1=command:/stick 45 moveback loose|99|Once to position my ranger at 45 feet from the mob before starting to autofire. This works great if my ranger is not on a mount, but as soon as he is on a mount, he starts oscillating back and forth until he either stops, or get so close to the mob that he starts to melee.

Is there anything I can do to help this?

Thanks much.

I saw that on some toons. Depends on the mount i think. As far as i saw, when moving on mounts, some mounts almost stop instantly when you stop moving, some other need some more distance to decelerate (if i can say that).
So if you have a mount like that, yah you can be oscillating around the right distance you want without reaching it ever.

mounts are not precise, they will move farther than expected when in combat (everquest feature I assume its for battlelust or something similar). kiss handles it as it overshot the position then backs up, repeats the process and goes forward, so on and so forth. drop the mount and the back and forth will stop

Levitate does not help, but clicking on walk once at camp seems to smarten things up most of the time. Thank you for the suggestions, it made me dig into this a bit more for a solution.

Would there be a way to force him to walk rather than run?
