All,

I need help with my Ranger's Stealthy Shot spell. It can only be used when out of combat. However, my ranger always tries to run up and smack the mob with his weapon while the macro tries to cast this spelling causing it to fail.

His DPS line is: DPS1=Stealthy Shot|100|Ambush

I have tried changing around quite a few setting but haven't figured it out yet.

Anyone have suggestions on how to get him to do his stealthy shit prior to smacking it with his weapon or casting it while hes moving?

1. I can't help you troubleshoot (this is most likely a mq2melee, camp radius, melee engage distance thing)

2. I can offer Ranger advice. Drop this spell. Don't bother with it. Ranger DPS = melee with a 2-hander unless you're running Pureshot, in which case, use archery. Even still, most of your dps will come from spell casts. Summers, Called Shot, Focused Arrow, Dissident (or CoV equivalent), Summers, Summers, Summers, repeat. Forget stealthy shot.

Real Ranger player here, Ive tried to make a few INI's for rangers, just to play around, I have access to a few ranger main accounts, wanted to see what could be done and to some extent I can make it work and someone else come up with keeping the ranger out of melee range and past the "30" range mark so it wont bug out and not shoot.

Rangers class has issues with Mq2Melee for some reason, even when set to range, it still melee's. /autoattack off in normal eq window should help and Dont use that spell...

I have a sick ranger ini I will post once I have time to add a couple of CoV things to it. Just finding the time these days ugh... It's a melee one, not ranged. He parses better than all in my group. I'll post parse once I fine tune some clickies...
