only alteration to vanilla kiss is that i've commented out the #warning line to prevent any unanticipated pauses.

been seeing this as well. turn on pullertank and he just stands there looking for mobs.

Did as suggested and turned on /debugall

dont know where to find that log file but this is what im seeing in the window...

invalid target Reason: Invalid NPC Level Line 6246.

Point me at the actual log fine and ill be happy to post a startup.

from your post
I have previously had no issues running my pullertank in zones like MPG, nadox, and Dranik's Scar (farming TS mats) with a navmesh built, running kiss 10.0.6.4. Once i upgraded to 10.1.3, it doesn't use nav anymore, and only will pull using Line of sight

This looks like you do not have MQ2Nav loaded. Try the following ingame:

1. /plugin mq2nav unload
2. /plugin mq2nav load
3. .mac kissassist pullertank

In RED you should see if its pulling using MW2NAV to pull or LoS. If you are sure you have MQ2NAV loaded then maybe you don't have the mesh for that particular zone. If that is the case. try rebuilding the navmesh and then repeat the above steps.

Hope this helps

Yep nav is loaded and is using the navmesh.. already tried both rebuilding, as well as unloading mq2nav plugin and reloading... i need to spend a bit of time later and do a full debug log to see.. its behaving very bizarre..

yes, MQ2NAV being loaded and the mesh not being loaded are 2 different things. you should see in GREEN TEXT that the mesh is loaded. MQ2NAV can be loaded without a mesh so ensure you actually have a mesh. The error that you are describing is indicating there is no mesh saved for the zone.

i just had a wierd thing my puller was pulling all day and then the bugged , i unloaded mq2 /unload then reloaded restarted mq2nav then loaded the mesh and hit my macro and all is well with the world again

I understand what you are saying.. not trying to be rude, you are trying to help me and I do appreciate it... but i know how this works.. I do see the red text in the MQ2 window saying it is pulling using NAV when i start kiss as pullertank.. also when i do a /nav ui it also shows me the mesh is loaded... and this is happening to me in more than one zone...

not only this, but when i revert my version of kissassist from 10.1.3 down to 10.0.6.4, with NO other changes made, it works like a charm.. pulls using nav just dandy.. so.. i dunno.. I even went so far as to start with a totally vanilla mq2 and none of my own ini's, and went from there.. no improvement...

this issue also persists after a reboot for me.. sadly, i have tried everything I can think of.. short of me getting the log dump for maskoi to look at (next thing on my list to do), I'm not sure what else i can try..

the odd thing is, i can move around the zone with my group and have them target me from afar, then /nav target to me just fine.. its literally ONLY when i try pulling using kiss and nav that this happens.. i disable nav, i can pull just fine using kiss pullertank but of course limited to line of sight..

your not being rude hun. Just based on your explanation is what I can say. can you kindly post your INI. no need for the conditional ini

I would like to just see the PULL section of your ini if you do not mind and as well as your KissInfo section for the zone you are pulling. this is an easy fix we just need to know what your settings are. Thank you

Presently having a pullertank issue .. but only in Skyfire RoS. Mq2Nav works incredibly well in Overthere, Howlings Stones; however, when I run it in Skyfire I get spammed with:

[MQ2Nav] Could not locate starting point on navmesh: (X,Y,Z location). The XYZ change as I have tried it numerous times in various spots. I have rebooted, reloaded, etc. I have the Green Text for mesh and the Red text which states the puller part is working. Yet, tank never moves as the "starting point" is never identified. Again, I can zone over to Overthere and it works fine

Additionally, I unloaded MQ2Nav in Skyfire and pullertank worked perfectly - except won't make the extended pulling that Nav facilitates around corners and such

I have unloaded Nav, reloaded, rebuilt the mesh 2 different times. Willing to try anything as this program is awesome

Update: Went to Overthere - Nav to target and pullertank works perfect. Nav to target or pullertank anywhere in Skyfire spams same error - cant locate starting point. I tried multiple sites, including center of zone

As to Mesh Generator -
Open Generator
Ctrl-O to open menu
Choose Skyfiretwo in RoS expansion
Hit Build Mesh and Save
Hit Nav reload in game
Same issue

This happens if your puller dies and ends up leaving the zone from hovering to bind, logs out, or zones, sometimes the zone mesh doesn't load. Unloading and reloading the plugin usually fixes it.

thats the odd part he never left zone, although i have had exactly what you describe happen i was at keys most of day and bouncing between a few groups when i noticed he stopped pulling properly.

Here's my current pull section from my SK's kiss ini..
Rich (BB code):
[Pull]
PullWith=Terror of Kra`Du
MaxRadius=210
MaxZRange=50
PullWait=1
PullRoleToggle=0
ChainPull=0
ChainPullHP=90
ChainPullPause=30|2
PullLevel=0|0
PullMeleeStick=0
UseWayPointZ=0
PullRadiusToUse=90

And, this currently works 100% pulling with nav and kiss version 10.0.6.4 in many zones.. Just seems when i go to 10.1.3, it doesnt pull anything, just does LOS..

I also see that there's a 10.1.4 out this morming.. I'm going to test that out and report back. all this troubleshooting may be a moot point (here's hoping! :mystery: )

Ok.. addendum... I nabbed kiss 10.1.4 and am running that.. it SEEMS to be working.. I've changed my pullradiustouse to 99% (pullradiustouse=99) just so i know the numbers are good in my maxradius.. otherwise, only change I made is PullLevel=5|112 .. instead of the 0|0 .. it pulls perfectly with it at 0|0 but i didnt know if this may affect something, so i put a relevant number in.. otherwise, nav no changes, same meshes used.. didnt even unload mq or anything.. literally only swapped out my kiss mac with the newer one, and away i went..

Ok.. so.. running new kiss 10.1.4.. im testing this in lab.. It seems when i start it up, it pulls first mob quick, fight ensues, i kill mob, combat ends.. then it goes spams "Cast radius set to 227" "Looking for close range mobs" ... does that about 20 or so times, maybe more, it really spams the mq window.. meanwhile there are mobs within my pull radius.. then after a short period of time, say 20 seconds, it locks on a mob and pulls..

its really odd, like it needs to 'warm up' ... then it works for a while... then does it again..

[Pull]
PullWith=Terror of Kra`Du
MaxRadius=215
MaxZRange=50
PullWait=0
PullRoleToggle=0
ChainPull=0
ChainPullHP=90
ChainPullPause=30|2
PullLevel=5|112
PullMeleeStick=0
UseWayPointZ=0
PullRadiusToUse=99

Very strange.. using nav, everything else as before.. and my test by reverting to 10.0.6.4 i pull like a champ non-stop.. It seems there's a delay built in somewhere? Like a buffcheck or something that I'm not seeing..

At least it IS working now, just with this strange intermittent delay between occasional pulls..

This is kinda puzzling.

Below is the puller ini part. It seems more than puller tho. I can not utilize any portion of MQ2Nav in Skyfire - can literally be standing 10 feet from a mob and it wont navigate to it - spams the [MQ2Naz] Could not locate starting point on Navmesh: x,y,z. Again tried it in various locations. Puller working seamlessly in Overthere as I type.

Note: I completely deleted ALL meshes and started over earlier today. I use the default mesh setting - (basically max neg and pos xyz). I can rebuild the mesh on any recommendation.

PullWith=Hak'ouz Visions|Ethereal Arrow
MaxRadius=400
MaxZRange=50
PullWait=0
PullRoleToggle=0
ChainPull=0
ChainPullHP=90
ChainPullPause=30|2
PullLevel=1|120
PullMeleeStick=0
UseWayPointZ=0
PullRadiusToUse=99

Sometimes when I have trouble with MQ2Nav, I can unload it and reload it and things will work fine. The biggest issue we have is that instead of pulling with a spell, occasionally the puller will instead not have the mob targeted, and will run through it. Once it is aggroed, the puller will return to camp.

Yeah I've had that happen too, I find I can duplicate pulling issues by typing in tells or guild chat while pulling.. its almost as though my typing at the keyboard causes interruptions / interference in the macro's running through its loops and sections.. because once I stop and just watch the next pull, its fine..

LorDeth, I need a debug log when that is happening... I am unable to replicate that issue.
This is to everyone, help me help you, debug logs make all the difference when you are having issues like these. My group setup is probably not like yours so I may never have the same issues you have, So please help out you local redguides devs and start posting debug logs. Thanks in advance...

[QUOTECould not locate starting point on Navmesh: x,y,z][/QUOTE]

that basicly means either your at a spot off the mesh generated or u just don't have a mesh for that zone.

id like to try and help you in game if you want further assistance. I have a mesh for labatory and I have no problems at all from below ground up to the top boss monster.

I an an avid Kissassist user. although like with anyother program you need to make it work for you. MQ2nav is flawless. I cant see why no one can replicate your problems which just leads me to believe you are just having issues with the mesh its self. If you would like assistance in game I am able to assist.

okay I went there to try a few things out

try the following. Depending on how far u want to pull. in this example I am using a radius of 650 radius and a z radius of 50

1. open up your map
2. target the furthest monster you want to pull
3. when targeting in game type /echo ${Target.DistanceZ} this will find out the actual Z distance of the monster. If the Z distance is less then 50 in this example then basicly you are fine providing you are on the same level. However, always know there is a possibility that the Z distance might be say 25 but above you in which case it will try to pull it not realizing its actually further. I recommend you lower the Z radius if this is the case and build the mesh to a much smaller size. in cases where there are multiple levels, smaller is better, in open arears like FM or OT bigger is better.

Hope this helps

Thanks Island:

I play on FV and would be happy to have any assistance. The issue is not Z-axis here (I did confirm as you asked), but cant even get the first mob pulled as the spam of not being able to "locate starting point", sets in. MQ2Nav works flawlessly for me in every zone except Skyfire (skyfiretwo) in RoS. It would seem that I am not reading the correct mesh (I have not seen the issue of "being off the mesh" in any other instance). So, the first issue is why not? I redid the following":

1. Open Mesh Generator
2. Ctrl-O to open Skyfire in RoS
3. removed old mesh, rebuilt new mesh, save
4. In game, immediately got the green signal that mesh was loaded
5. Did a nav target command and got spam.

This sequence has been repeated multiple times since being in this zone, BUT, only this zone. The ini, nav target, nav puller type stuff works flawlessly everywhere else. So, do I chalk it up to EQ happens, and be thankful that Mq2Nav works great except in this one instance?

when you are in game can you see the grid when in the zone? Another thing I have seen when generating the mesh, is the grid is below the ground and I have had to move it up to the ground surface before generating the mesh. Sarith city is one of the zones I can think of that is like that.
