Problem - Puller attempting to grab mobs already engaged by other groups

Not sure if this is because I'm using MQ2Nav to pull but my PullerTank will run right up to Mobs that have long been engaged by other groups. Any way to stop this?
 
MQ2Nav has nothing to do with the targets you select. Give more info. What mac, if KISS post your ini. No one can help if they are guessing due to no info.

As if people never post stuff in the wrong forums. Nothing in his post referenced KISS. Just because i play a hafling doesnt mean im a druid! Was attempting to get the person the proper help. But you are correct. This is in the KISS forum, and since I dont use it, Ill not reply to KISS posts anymore. Thank you for clarifying that for me!
 
Open up your in game map, see if there is a group near you, if so set your pulling radius so the circle you pull from is not including their group. You may still intercept their target though if they too are pulling from your "circle" area. Best bet is to move somewhere else from my experience. On a side note, whats worse is when your master looter is trying to loot the other group's corpses! That can be quite an embarrassing "ninja looting" experience!
 
Kiss will check if your target has a target of target and if that target is a PC or Pet that is not part of your group. There are 2 things you have to consider. 1 - Is that you don't target the mob until you are ready to actually aggro(pull) it. 2 - the mob has no target at the time you start the pull.

So if you start a pull and the mob has no target, then you run to the mob. Now why you are running to the mob another group pulls the mob. Your puller doesn't know that yet, so the puller runs close enough to the mob to pull it and then runs a validate test one last time, and the validate test now shows the mob should NOT be pulled, so you return to camp.

Another situation is if the mob is NOT LOS when you start the pull then the mob is NOT targeted, so the Validate routine can't be run. So when the puller gets close enough to pull the mob and the mob is LOS, the puller will target the mob and run the validate routine. If the mob has a target the pull is aborted and the puller returns to camp.
 
@KDEpic I have experienced this as well.

Like @surfdog21 has mentioned, that is how I roll.
if I have the group playing, in which VV/KA is "driving the puller", then I have to trust the code logic to not do anything unsporting. e.g. engage mobs already engaged.
If I see another party (solo, molo, group etc) has arrived and fighting same content, I have clear choice. Take control of the puller personally, or, move camp.

The code in KA makes decisions and does a fine job.
As @ctaylor22 has said there is some validate logic in the code (I havent read it yet, so accept his description of it without question).
The only thing that may appear odd is timing of the validates, in relation to navigates.
That is what it is at the moment in current code.


Regardless of the software being used, I just prefer to play safe, play nice and keep away from possible conflicts with other players.
 
HAS THERE BEEN A FIX FOR ENGAGING MOBS, I SAW A GUY ON SEAFURIE ISLE USING SOMEONES BOX CREW TO PL HIMSELF HED PULL MOB CLOSE AND LET THEM FINISH IT AT 40 % LOL UGH capslock fail... lol
