Hey, i've had a break from EQ for some months now... I kinda miss the game... But not the BS rules that DPG enforce now... I want to box, prefferably without limitations or 3-4 group limitations...

Anyone know of a private EQ server that allows atleast 6 man crew boxing (MQNext, or other software) a diffrent rule set wouldnt be offputting either.

Thanks in advance for your help.

ProjectEQ is an EMU server where you can box as many as you would like, though I believe they cap at level 70 or 80. I have a crew there myself, great community as well.

No MQnext for emu servers yet unfortunately. I believe it's being worked on.

Easy enough to start up your own emu server for personal use if you don't plan on interacting with others.

Also, in case not known, Emulated servers only go to Omens of War expansion for the population of mobs/npc/quests/loot . You can use RoF client, but those zones don't have stuff in it to play. Mata Muram is currently the end all mib to defeat, and lots of stuff to still do. But it also means not all modern features are available...yet.

Project Lazarus is a good EMU server. And pretty much everyone uses MQ2, and basically encourage it. They limit you to six "active" (earning exp somewhere) accounts at one time. You can have as many as you like logged in, like in the GH or something, but only 6 out doing stuff. I started doing that, but then I just started up my own server. I really only wanted to play around with MQ2 and ModBot, anyway. I don't need other people for that...lol.

Thats why im also open to "special" server. I know there are some servers that have "out of wack" server rules , some servers only have eq grafics , zone and monsters but lets you level / farm gear in Velks , Vex thall etc... at earlier than normal levels in EQ. Also have unique items and i belive sets ? From what i heard ages ago from a friend.

Anyone else try the Emperium server? Watched a guy on twitch last night play it and it looked like a blast but wasn’t sure if the novelty would die out quickly.

Quillmane server just launched literally 3-4 days ago going from Classic up to at least PoP (GoD and OoW will be community votes) and allows MQ It's a TLP style server with Agent of Changes for raid instances and such:

May be worth checking out if you don't want to be massively behind on any server. Server is low popuplation at the moment though but has all the classic goodies at the moment like Manastone and Guise to get!
