Question - PL's for lvl 80 - 100?

Hey y'all,

With the new xpac coming out and level cap going to 130, wondering if anyone has advice on how to get older Heroics and such up to lvl 100. Toons ranging from lvl 80-90. So they could group with my mains.

Is the only way to do the old "buy AoE dmg pots on low level toon" and let stuff kill itself on damage shield of my SK after lower lvl toon hits everything once? Is that method even still viable?

Wondering if there's anything else, like are there missions I could blast through on higher level toons and add the lower level toon to? Or some way to shroud down and PL from there?

I have a series of rangers I use to PL toons through those levels. I think I've heard some folks have well geared tanks at certain levels to do the same.

First off I would use search on this forum or even google. There are tons of suggestions.

I would take your high other character and group with the rest, go to Teek and get the daily hot zone. Take group to the zone, send out the big guy to do the 5 kills. The low guys will get the task exp. So fast and easy

Overseer.

Check the daily HA from Teek - those have good exp at the end

Might want to stay in older expansions cause the kills will be easier

The last of the storm boars is good

Look for TA's that your main group can do and invite the low guys

I don't think many use that old method on higher levels

Thanks for the suggestions. Would you happen to know which if any TA's can be accepted by toons in the 80-100 range? I know the ToV and ToL missions give big chunks of xp, but I don't think they can be used at lower levels. Are there older expansion missions that give xp that can be done?

Before I realized I didn't have much else to PL I planned to do the headshot ranger as well... or possibly leaving a tank at 106.
It won't be long before we need 2 intermediaries, as DS PL gets really old past 70ish, and painful past 75.

The others have given good suggestions. If you have one, a 100 heroic with its xp turned off (so it doesn’t level) in TBM augged gear, Castaway from TDS gear or raid gear from CoTF will chew up zones (put it in a lvl 90 hot zone) and level decently - that takes care of 5 toons 70-95 - then plunk them in with your 125.

Otherwise, go to a nice zone with a ton of mobs, pull the zone, plonk your 125 max aa SK down with merc out, /mac hitall on the alts, and (level up a Necro if you don’t have one) use your necro’s highest level remote sphere then FD the Necro right after it’s placed.

DS pl at 80+ is painful even with LS DS, mostly because (in my opinion) summoning makes pulls obnoxious, but also that level of incoming dmg above what honed wurmmy mitigates requires a healer.

Lvl 120 FTP Necro in LS resonance gear - their sphere will one shot most pulls at 90-100 (RoF expac).

ToV TAs are 100. TBL, EoS and RoS are 95, TBM is 70/75 IIRC (group gear can be purchased at 70 in Tranq. - and 1 level 125 mission reward from TBM mission (1000,1200 remnants of tranquility) is sufficient to gear a group - then the augs get expensive if you choose to go that route - but I usually just leave them naked until 110, where I have old sets of snowbound that I can rotate in before they get LS Gallant Resonance at 120)

what joakhan said is pretty much what i was gonna say. use a 100 heroic persona with no xp and pl them all to 100 by doing quests and missions to get them up. then use your main to take them from 100 to 125 in missions and stuff. then you have 12 yrs before you need to catch them up again.

turn aa to 100 and turn off autogrant aa and turn on aaspend so it spends before you get to max so you never earn normal xp only aa xp. if you some how get to many aa and are gaining regular xp just buy glyphs.

Unless it changed in the last year or two, if you have aaxp on 100 and hit the unspent cap it'll just tell you you're not getting xp unless you spend some, it won't just overflow to reg xp

idk when it changed but it overflows to regular xp now. i regularly just leave it on 100 and remax my regular xp with it

I did the SK DS, but at higher levels, it's a good idea to have an out-of-group max level mage to throw a DS on the SK. Also, I would level up a bard with the toons soaking up xp and just let the lowest level bard song that does AOE damage hit everything. Just make sure the sk tanks in a corner, not facing the mobs. Also, may need an out-of-group healer for the SK druids are nice too, cause they can also throw on another DS to the SK.

I've always had a level 110 twinked out and killed places / swarmed. Can use a F2P account as well just takes less time.

80-90 I always did Grounds, then did anything in FM till 100, with the raid geared 110

how to PL your guy is going to depend on what classes you have. If you have a max level class to damage shield, that's better than the DS potions. That's best used with the honed wurmslayer to lower the damage if you have an SK. From 70-85, I just grouped a 100 heroic mage in the freebie gear they give you and since the mage was 30 levels above 70, it was easy for a solo mage to just murder them all. I had a puller and slower sitting out of group to handle pulls. I leveled them in shard's landing. From 80, I just had grouped them with 2 level 115 to get them from 85-90, and from 90 onward, they grouped with free to play level 120's.

But again, this all depends on how many support toons you already have. I have heard of some just taking it slow and just using overseer to get from 85 to max level, but of course, that takes longer, but minimal effort.
