Ok, sorry if this is very newbish, but I did try the search function for a bit, and I tried just reading over other's macro's, but I'm still having trouble. Could someone point me to a guide for writing macro's? I haven't been able to find one that will explain what commands are able to do or what variables are able to be declared or used.

THIS is about as close as you'll come to a "guide". Otherwise, my best advice is to look at every macro you can find, figure out how it works, etc etc. If you have specific questions, or even just questions that are a bit more towards the general side, the RedGuides irc channel is a good place to ask.
