Anyone have these compiles for new patch? These are the only things I use at all.... Piggyzone, GhettoSpeed and Rwarp.

They will be out when JMO gets the time to compile everything.
 
So I see the source released with these each time. I usually do my own vanilla compile until the one with docrack and rwarp are released. Is it just a matter of sticking those plugins inside of the vbworkspace, and linking them in individually before the compile?

I never really messed with adding anything except mq2melee and mq2cast, and was curious about the actives.
 
I promise I'll have it done tomorrow. I've worked 3 15 hour days in a row. I'm off tomorrow though, so will be able to spend as much time as needed on it.

No kidding. Don't get me wrong because I understand how real life slows shit down. 5 Bucks a month does create expectations though. We not asking for this for free.

Never really considered that someone, or anyone was actually making $ doing compiles. Kinda figured the $5 was most hosting fees site maint and such. There's not many of us left.. It's not like it used to be, (if it ever was).
 
There's plenty still paying. They make $. I also understand people are busy but if you dont give customers what they want, well, then they buy elsewhere.
 
FYI .... those doing the NotAddicted compile/JMO's compile .... do it for free. We do not get paid to maintain the compile. If others wanted to, they could include the active hacks into their compiles also.

?Ok I'm Confused? Why would Jmo need redcents? I can understand if he doesn't make $ and is just a really advanced user, but if what some suspect is true he does make $ he can just give himself redcents at will. Kinda like running a eq server and giving yourself all the pp you can stand. PS yes I give Jmo redcents to, but after thinking about it?? you tell me??

Even if Jmo would collect all our 5$ subs, he would make like...100$ a month? hehe

I tried to reach mecha instance last room today without MQ.

And then I made it there with my SK and thought FUCK YEAH! and stand up to use some random buff and HTd myself because of missclick. I cried a little, inside.
 
Posts like I have read hear tonight make me realize why JMO is in no hurry to get the compile out. Yes there are some that are really and truly grateful for what he does, and are willing to pay the subscription fee or contribute in other ways to helping to keep this going, and never give a 2nd thought about it. Whether JMO makes money from doing the compiles or not is none of my business, its his. I understand the hecticness of real life.. especially the life of working in a restaurant like he does. Real life has me to where I can only get on EQ a couple hours a night at best, so yeah I like using MQ to help me so I dont have to spend my time looking for a group instead of actually doing something. Do I get impatient for the new compile, yeah sometimes, thats why I appreciate Wintersmule and the others that post vanilla compiles for those that can use them in the mean time until JMO can get free from the real world in order to HELP us out. If I knew anything about compiling, I would be doing what I could to help JMO out. But since I don't, and am basically in their hands as to when a compile will be posted, I am as patient as can be, while inside I read posts like the ones i read here today and want to scream... Just my 2cents worth.
 
money topic is stupid. making money or not, the 5$ a month is small contribution to forum and/or people who keep this thing up. I dunno why this was even brought up. It's not like we been waiting a month or something.

I don't get paid anything. I do this completely for free, in my spare time. I don't even play EQ anymore. I do the compiles for 2 reasons:

1. For the community, above all else. Redguides/NotAddicted was an internet home to me for a long time and the community here, while a bit shaky at times, has always welcomed me with open arms. This is something that I can do to give back.

2. In some weird way, I like it. It gives me some sense of accomplishment, especially when I'm able to work through some bugs and get them fixed.

Again, I don't have to do this, and I get a whopping $0.00 to do it. So please, be patient.

The reason I did not get it posted yesterday as promised was that I got called into work on my day off, at 7 am. I work in a restaurant and being short even 1 person can be detrimental to the operation. I'm a salaried manager, therefore I don't get to say "NO" when the phone rings. It's not a luxury that is given to me. I wish I had a better job, especially one that was not 70-80 hours a lot of the time. But I do it for my wife and I to pay the bills, and hopefully I can move to a better position some day. Hell, if those hours aren't enough, I'm even trying to start my own Computer Repair business on the side.

I don't want this to be taken the wrong way at all, but unless you're offering me a better job with better pay, so that my wife and I can start a family, please be patient, and I promise I'll get the compiles out ASAP. There's been plenty of times in the past where I had it up before any other sites, simply because it was my day off. I have no problem at all working on it, but when I get up at 6 am to get ready for work, then stay on the job until 10 or 11pm at night, and have to get up and start it all over again the next morning, I would appreciate a little patience (or a clone...).

For those that are understanding, thank you. It means a lot to me to be a part of such a great and caring community, even if we are a bunch of no-good, filthy hackers. =p
 
GG I feel yeah Jmo and don't let the ungrateful ones get to you. You're awesome and respected by a lot of us but their will always be a few that will be ungrateful and complain.

redcents is the payment that we receive .... fyi .... JMO, siddin, and myself maintain the compile, with JMO being the primary. We are working to get it organized to where we can back-fill each other better.

I always give JMO redcents for his compiles and generally everyone that even attempts to put a compile together.

My view is that the more compilers we have out there the better. During the "glory days" that people talk about we generally had three to four different compiles out, this way for those that do the vanilla compile, at least you have your maps and non-active plugins available.

Ok, first off, thanks JMO for the compile, i do appreciate it. Second, anyone that directed the "ungratefull" comment at me can KMA or EMA, whichever you prefer. I pay for this site and if you guys don't get compensated for it then i'd suggest hosting your own site cause whoever is collecting the $ is making good cash. These people would be the ungratefull ones. I pay with my hard earned money that i make at a bullshit job myself. If you don't make any money from this site JMO then i apoligize. I never said anything deragotory or ungratefull, i was just simply asking for what "I" paid for. I honestly assumed you were compensated.

I think they may have a spin-off sect called F.A.R.T. (Future Architects of Rockin' Technology). (Ok, I can't come up with any more lame jokes. =p)
 
Actually, I was looking for a gnome engineer to match me being an engineer .... images.google.com ftw! Hmmm Gnomes Against Sony .... that might be something to look into.
 
Dude you pay for the access to get help, tips, exploits and shit. The bonus that Jmo adds to the forums is just that a bonus. Btw go take a peek at a lot of the other Compilers they charge a lot more then $5.
 
this type of post comes up about once every year ... so I am glad to get it over with this early in the year :D
