First time user if mq2, paid some money couple days ago, downloaded a file for live. Unzipped folder to desktop have a taskbar mq2 icon. browsed forums til eyes bled, is there a guide somewhere. I can find nowhere to login, no update function in folder, no installation folder. These are all things Ive scoured from some posts. got an Mq2 chat window in game, no guide how to use it. Thanks for any help.

LMAO, read til your eyes bled huh? Dude you have just started the bleeding part. No joke, for awhile that's pretty much all your gonna be doing. Reading that is. It is a very steep learning curve here, you can read about some of it here (lol):

So you start with actually updating up all your programs and then firing them up in the proper order. Then you can look into how to operate MQ2Autologin. Those 2 things will keep you busy for today lol.

Please don't take what I'm saying as being sarcastic, I am new to this myself, that's where I am coming from. It can be really frustrating at first. All I can say is to have some patience, and learn as much as you can. Don't be afraid to ask questions here, bunch of great people to help you here.

with mq2 running just log into your account like normal, on the character spin screen you will see a new window in the upper left stating some info about what was updated in mq2. Then just load a toon into the world and again a new window will appear in the upper left side of your screen, which within 30s should say integrity passed. That means mq2 loaded and you are good to kill things (either yourself or mobs). If you open your release folder and open the macro folder, you will see a bunch of files in there. Most of those can be used using /mac nameofafile. Most common one to use is /mac kissassist it has a learning curve, meaning it requires some reading before you can really kill effectively. Now for plugins, which are the bread and butter stuff are in your release folder, the ones with mq2 in the name are plugins they are in turn loaded by /plugin mq2namehere best thing to do is look at the plugin section and read up on the plugins for what they do and how to use them. Also chatting in the discord channel can help you as well since they is atleast a few people in there that offer help, and is usually a much faster response than the message boards. If you would like a bit more help you can message me, I can help with most issues, as well as help, getting some of the macros setup.
