Noob Map question

Recently, my maps got all fuckered up. I dont know if it is in the basic eq.ini file or what. The icons on the screen are all small dots and when I move over them, they show what the npc/pc is. A few weeks ago, the icons showed the names of the spawns which I liked much better. Does anyone know what to change? tY

There is a button on your map called "Labels"

Click it. It will bring the name back up.
