Booo,..... The only point of going to a midnight screening was to see all the hardcore fans dressed up. LOTR was especially memorable, but this is just retarded. Ok, so the politicians are in the NRA's pocket, what can we ban to act like we are doing something? COSTUMES! Brilliant! Go send the press releases...
Seriously, the U.S. needs to ban the sale of "Military Grade" Weapons / Equipment. No Assault Rifles, Hollow Point Ammo, Head to toe Swat ballistic armor, Extended Ammo Clips, etc... If the shooter walked in there with a shotgun and a hunting rifle how many victims would there be? probably a handful, if that. The theater was next to an military base, and there were several trained military personnel in the theater. With slower rate of fire, less ammo capacity, and less damaging ammunition we would of seen a handful of victims. Not 70+ people...

he actually had a remington 870, and 2 glock .40s as well, his sport rifle jammed, assult being fully automatic, he had semi auto, big difference here.. and they did ban the sale of military grade weapons, the only way to get those now is pre 1986, and you HAVE to register it through ATF and they can, and will do random checks to make sure its still in your possession, if its not, you go to jail.
with the way his home was rigged, dude could have easily tossed 2 bombs in there and killed everyone, but he didnt..
dont punish everyone else because 1 person wants to do wrong, make the sentencing harsher for individuals who decide to break the law.

not that it matters, the government is giving away fully automatic weapons to drug cartel members every day, point and case, *fast and furious*
also, statistically speaking, vehicle deaths outweigh firearm deaths

atleast according to the CDC.. maybe we should look into banning vehicles now? and only limit them to police/EMT/military?
just arguing my point that we should hold the individual accountable for his/her actions instead of what they used.. he could have easily waited till they all were exiting the building and rammed all of them and killed even more than 12 people.
