Hi guys and gals,

New guy here. Looking to automate some boxes. I have 3 PC's I play on Agnarr and I want to be as efficient with farming as possible, I know I can't possibly cast as efficiently as some programs could. I just downloaded mySEQ and the map thing is so cool, my eyes are open that I've been doing it all wrong!

I'm curious if there's a best way to farm things like Epic drops (Quillmane, Undertow, etc) and if there's a way to let something like maybe KissAssist run my guys for me while I'm sitting here.

Mostly interested in Magician, Enchanter, Cleric, Shaman, Melee scripts?

Please let me know what I should be reading/doing?

Thanks!!!

MQ2 does not nor will ever work on Agnarr. If you want to box there, learn how to use ISBoxer which is legal and does work there, depending on how much time and effort you put into learning how to use it. There are plenty of guides up and the support is excellent. If you want to automate, however, find a different server.

ISboxers does automation?

It is not legal technically, you can only play one toon from a single IP. No boxing on Agnarr.. therefore IS boxer would be illegal..

:argh: Please DON'T Box on a True (NO) Box Server... :bang:

Whether you are using MQ2 or not, you will be part of the problem bringing MQ2 down for everyone else including the Live Servers.
That is not appreciated. If we as a community continue to piss off DBG, SOE, or whatever company in the future may own EQ, there will be even more serious restrictions upon us. We need to work with what they have allowed us to do within their guidelines.

What is appreciated is to Stay Away from the True (NO) Box servers if you want to Box and play on any other server out there that allows for it, with or without MQ2 &/or ISBoxer.

Thank you,

I'm really confused by some of the above posts. Some people seem to think there is no boxing on Agnaar . . .

Agnarr is a True box server, not a True (No) box server. This is NOT P99. Boxing is perfectly fine . . . as long as you do each box from a different computer.

DBGs even posted a picture of a room with about 8 computers in it when Phini launched to explain the difference between boxing on different computers and boxing from one. DBGs said this . . . showing picture of the room with eight computers . . . is OK!

On the DGBs forums you have people making statements all the time that while it's OK, it's not the intent of the server. They are wrong! The only intent was to stop mega boxers that appeared on LJ and Rage. That was the only intent of True Box.

As for the use of 3rd party software of any kind - they are all against the rules. DBGs said, if you are boxing, you will do it manually.

It almost humorous to get a tell from some random person saying that I have been petitioned because they think I'm boxing more than one toon. Many people playing on the server really have no clue what the rule set is.

This is taken directly from DBGs website listing what is NOT allowed on the server:

  • Playing multiple characters at the same time from a single computer.
  • Using 3rd party software.
  • Any method to send one key press to multiple characters.

Direct quote from DBGs:

If people are truly wanting to multi-box, they'll have to do it the old fashioned way. Phinigel is a TRUE box server, which means in order to multi-box you'll need a set-up that looks something like this:

Phinigel and Angarr have exactly the same rule set.

"Any method to send one key press to multiple characters." is what would make ISBoxer not legal but WinEQ legal. As far as third party software.... your mouse driver is a third party software. DGB didn't write the driver for that. DirectX is third party software. Windows is third party software. Etc etc etc. I know they can't be specific, but I always roll my eyes when they say third party software is banned.

Anyway, dobs2017 pretty much owns this thread now. I was certainly wrong when I said ISBoxer is legal there.

Point stands. Go find a different server.

Wasn't really directed at you - but the people saying boxing is not allowed.

Using Innerspace which is required by ISboxer wont work on Agnarr. It will kick you offline after a few minutes.

I still love how people scream don't do it, its not legal there!

Yet they use MQ2 on the Live servers and have for years which has always been illegal. Maybe they turn a blind eye to it these days on the live servers but its still technically illegal.

So all of these people thinking they are taking the moral high ground make me laugh.

I need to step in here and correct this because that's not true. I sat in a meeting with daybreak before phinigel was launched to iron out how I could help them to make it "MQ2 free", our agreement is real, and it is that: we stay away from true box servers, and they let us use MQ2 on all the other servers. (while ATTENDING)

They even changed the official rules to reflect this agreement. Before the phinigel launch the rules was "no third party tools are allowed" now it says "no third party tools are allowed to be used "unattended".

Bottomline is, MQ2 while used responsibly, on ALL servers EXCEPT the true box ones, and while ATTENDING. IS "legal"

For the majority of all MQ2 users... this is a good deal.

Then why do they still scan for it and flag your account for it on live servers? Don't get met wrong, I am happy they are turning a blind eye but I see its more they dont have the resources anymore nor the subs to combat mq2. I also agree with your stance to not allow MQ2 on the Truebox servers. However I just laugh at all the people telling others not to do it when they broke the rules for years and years.

They scan for it because without that scan, there would be no way for me to force people to use the mq2ic plugin, which is the plugin that prevents usage on true box servers.

The scan was discussed at the meeting, there was no way for them to enforce the true box policy in just the client, without me being able to enforce it in MQ2 as well.

And, they don't flag you at all on live servers unless you use MQ2 plugins that ARE "illegal" mq2warp for example, but there are more. Nothing normal MQ2 users need to worry about EVER.

in a nutshell "no active hacks, don't be a dick, and we cool"

Sorta like going to a poker game....

Ok so that's a lot of responses but I'm still not understanding, perhaps from my limited knowledge in the first place.

I'm running multiple accounts on multiple PC's. What I'm looking for is to have let's say, my Cleric, on "autoheal" or something like that. Or if I want to autohunt Quillmane instead of actively tracking/killing things with my Ranger for 8 hours. Can I do that? Or if I want to kill Tranix, but not sit there for 6 hours to get a timer so I can be ready for the next one, can I do that?

I don't care about running multiple characters on one PC. I have multiple PC's.
