While TBL is considered one of the harder expansions to find a stationary spot to farm, it is still possible to do so with a geared group. Personally I do not find it as rewarding as EOK/ROS farming but some of the rewards (EM25 earring) are far better for personal use.

What you need:
1. ANY tank (yes, I have tested in all SK/WAR/PAL, all worked well and similar in efficiency and survivability, provided that you have a good ini.);
2. Chanter (bard doesn't seem to work as well as chanter, partly because I use my tank to pull and ended up a ganged bard, but might also related to the knockback commonly seen in TBL mobs);
3. Cleric with campfire/fellowship gate after death. Forget ANY other class, your tank WILL die, brez will ensure the fight can go on;
4. MAG/NEC as off tank. As tank WILL die. BST pet is useless;
5. Mounts will ensure minimal knockback. A must for all casters. You can do this with a melee group but I generally find caster group to be safer and as effective as a zerker group;
6. All member should set to return to a tight spot camp;
7. Keep levitation up at all time.

I will start with two popular spots in Empyr, and will add subsequent camping spots in other zones, subject to positive feedback.

Empyr2.jpg
This is a popular corner in the NE corner of Empyr, mobs generally have higher HP but less undesirable effect (charm).

Empyr.jpg
The SW corner gives you a much higher yield in meph meat and blood and non-KOS status in majority of TBL, but you can get charmed.

Thanks for the suggestions - tho there is much of your guide which is very subjective and is based on your mileage - bst pets do fine in a pinch if your tank is charmed or go down, far from useless - bards also do fine - while I personally do clerics and recommend them, plenty of people do shammies just fine.

I'm not sure i've seen a knockback in empyr, and I spend a good amount of time there - maybe I just never noticed - I almost always keep my cleric mounted, but not the rest of the crew --- stratos is another story with those windybois

Some of the more challenging things with empyr specifically is mobs will sometimes warp and take really poop paths to your team, and sometimes bring 20 mobs with them - these two spots are a little better if you watch your Z range for pulls, but if you go near the Assassin area - those mobs are dumb.

Indeed it was based on my experience on min/max for individual class. I had no issue with any T3 geared group, melee or ranged but I found ranged T1 FTP group to be most survivable, why sub if you can do everything you need on FTP account? My best experience came from 3 mages group in which the group just hold the spot for hours without wiping, and vs summoned spell rocks in TBL. Clearly your mileage may vary.

The armors in TBL generally knockback, as with some djinns. The effect can be countered by either having constant levitation, or having a mount. Note that levitation does NOT work in Stratos, making a melee group unfavorable as phoenix often send you to your doom.

Stratos is a good zone to gear up for T1 for all your TBL newbies (or twinks), just be sure that levitate doesn't work here so a SK actually with summon corpse is handy should one of your team members got cratered. You will have too add exclusions in the ini to avoid pulling NPCs.

This camp is relatively easier as there is no frontal AE from phoenix, tank and spank while giving you T1 ring.

This is a popular camp due to a much larger safe spot and abundance of named. Just keep in mind that Dawnbreee does a frontal AoE hence the position of the tank.

That's the endgame of TBL farming. Mobs and named hit significantly harder and have nasty AOEs, the positive side is that you don't get knock off too far if you have a caster group.You will be able to have a steady supply of Hickory Battleworn Sack and T3 muhbi since you only pull the named and their respective PHs. Just make sure you have KA to hunt down all the PHs for the 4 respective ancient wardens and central named. None of the camps in this guide is FTP friendly but this one is specifically harsh.

Recommend playing nice in the sandbox with others in the zone, if anyone else is in there. Depending on how many mobs you’re claiming, for example, I wouldn’t hesitate (personally) to take part of your “camp.” Center + axis wardens is okay, but if you’re cherry picking other names phers that I happen to need or want, too, I’ll just start camping it.

The golden rule of “don’t be a dickbag” applies.

Same reason that I hesitated to put Mearatas on TBL guide, knowing my server already has an army to place a lock down in that place for 2 whole months when TBL went live (Although I admit that he pioneered and demonstrated most of the camp locations listed).

Anyway I kinda figured out by this time most of us already have all the T3 muhbi we need, and those douchbags would have knowingly 24/7 that place anyway.

The guide is neutral. How it was executed depends on the morality of the user.

Except to someone who doesn’t know any better, the giant circle around everything implies certain things. It’s not a zonewide camp. The execution matters, but the guide, by name, intends to inform the player.

I’m just saying to anyone else reading this to not interpret this guide to mean you get to pull everything without consequences if other people are in zone and wanting to camp things.

I would be hugely impressed if you can cherry pick all the PHer and the central named within their spawn timer. The great big circle indicates where you CAN pull from and NOT die on the way back (READ: ancient warders). Then again if your server is crowded (unlike mine, Mearatas is usually a desert since Feb), just do a /pick, you lose the central named every 30min but then again you can camp in the dead center and pretty much pull all the ancient warders and their PH.

And by posting this guide I was hoping RG member can at least move from the crowded FM and ST to the not-so-crowded TBL zone. Yes you need much tougher ini and group composition, but at least you can mitigate the chance of being reported and suspended than having your 110s outside of Sarnak fort in FM. If you are being a douch, disregard unwritten rules and budge into other campers, well, good luck to you, but I don't think I deserve to be blamed sharing/writing up the possibility of TBL camping.

I was recently camping one wing of Mearatas for collectibles and casually killing the 2 namer phers in there. There was a group in the middle pulling the center mob and all 4 warders. I had to kindly remind the guy that just because they were there with a fuckin raid-worth of people and COULD keep more down, that i had been in that wing and was minding my own business for hours.

My point to those who may read this and think monopolizing the zone is commonplace or par for course is ... don’t be a douche.

That’s all. Cheers!

I just moved into mearatas myself
When I see a GRP clearly pulling a certain area/ Warder I just take that areas warder off the to pull list

speaking of Hickory Battleworn Sack's.
where does it drop? cuz I need some of those in my life

With the level increase in ToV, Mearatas can now be handled easily with ONE 115 group.

I'd say 3 zerkers would totally demolish the place and get the BEST exp per hr (incl. ToV).

Also it's a good place to fill up your tank's tribute points.
