this is a you thing and not a mq2necro thing

this means you exited out of the window at some point
you need to /nec show and then not close the window

if you look in your mq2necro.ini you will see
[dudebro]
Show=0

that should be show=1

which gets changed if you hide or X out the window

yes LS is going to be better since it does the new pyre and the NoS raid one doesn't

like i mentioned, focii (aa, gear, spells, augs (tov restless ice aug), type 3s) all add up quite a bit.

- We will now try and match the PyreShort to your robe focus

I am running into an issue running mq2necro with mq2shaman. My shaman is casting Doomshade's Pandemic. Necro is automatically memming Grip of Zorlim and casting it. The Shaman dot overwrites the necro dot. The necro is chain casting it and draining mana. I can use BYOS, but it does not fully function. My necro will not summon a pet with BYOS. I tried BYOSCustom, but he's pulling out Grip of Zorglim again.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get the necro to function without the grip of mori stacking group so I can run the necro and shaman together?
 
Byos custom will put the gem back if you didn't set a custom to not have that gem, that's how it works.

make sure you read about how to set byos custom.

Are you missing spells?
what gem slot is grip of zorglim going in? because it would only go in gem 6 if you were missing the "synergy" line unless you're talking about in raid (which you didn't mention)

mq2shaman doesn't memorize pandemicdot, but it does memorize pandemiccombodot in dps loadout

so not sure what you've got going on

First off, thanks so much for the speedy reply! And the help. I didn't know how to set the spells for BYOS. I found a video you did and watched it. Now I have that figured out. Although, the necro still put Grip in there even after I did /nec byos custom set. I haven't figured that out yet, but I'll keep at it.

I think the dots not stacking may have been an EQ bug that was fixed. The disease dots all seem to stack now. This is my shaman set up in DPS mode. It's memorizing Doomshade's pandemic to slot 3.

you can see here you are not in byos/byos-custom.

you have to byos -> set your gems how you want -> /nec byos custom set
 
I have a problem here, I did a /nec reload command and now its spamming my pet shrink earring in between every single spell cast like it is trying to shrink the entire group and it can't because its only for my pet. how do I get it to stop?

EDIT:
turns out it was my attempting to add my robe as a clicky, and the plugin found my earring and applied it to the burn category. I ended up going into the INI and manually deleting it, problem solved. Aside from my own blunder, I LOVE all of this line of plugins, its absolutely changed my gameplay for the better!

That isn't related to reload.

Where did you put your earring? You can remove it in the meantime
 
What are peoples thoughts on the Grip of Decay combo spell since we won't get the combo upgrade to use current level spells until next expansion? Still going to use the NoS version spells? Swap new ones in and out?

I don't see anything specifically regarding the combo dot in the FAQ but I'm also not questioning how the plugin is handling it. I'm asking how the people playing necros are handling it. I don't mean the ecliptic spell either in case that's what you meant in the FAQ. I mean the Fleshrots Grip of Decay that casts both Fleshrot's decay and Grip of Quietus. Now we have Goremand's Decay and Grip of Terrastride but no Goremand's Grip of Decay.

I do understand that, just figured I'd get more responses from those using necro's here but point taken I'll look for another avenue next time. Thanks for the inputs :)
Edit: I also didn't mean any Disrespect @durango773 so I apologize if I came across as such.
 
First off: I love this plugin, it's much better than my KA was for the necro. Hitting mind wrack on cooldown in a chain pulling group is turning the KA wizard into an infinite-mana machine gun

I'm running a necro on TLP at 95 - the plugin is memming and using the level 84 Soul Reaper's Pyre instead of the level 94 Pyre of Hazarak by default.

I have BYOS'd around the issue but wanted to mention it here anyway.

are you wearing a robe that gives you focus to soul reaper's cause that'd do it.

byos isn't going to work in this instance as byos/byos custom only uses spells we say we can use.

Nope, in-era VoA raid robe. Byos simply pulls Naeya Venom up as the next accessible DoT in line, which is more dps than SRP.

I'll keep futzing with it regardless - won't matter in a week with new expansion going.

Naeya Venom is the "Venom Dot" line, absolutely nothing to do with "Pyre Short" line which includes "Pyre of Hazarak" and "Pyre of Marnek"

Nah, I think I just wasn't very clear about what I was doing. I have been using BYOS to take SRP out of the spell bar, just straight up un-memorize it and leave the spell gem blank. Without access to a short Pyre, the plugin just goes for the next best dot in the list, which is NV. This workaround works perfectly well in my group as the necro isn't the primary damage dealer.

Anyway, thanks for having a look. If the bump to 100 and changing out the available spells doesn't fix the issue, I'll do some more tweaking on my own.

You flat out aren't using pure short line at all? That is the worst possible thing I can think of.

But no, as shown I don't see an issue with memorizing the correct pyre short.

It'd be helpful seeing the plugin output for pyre short and best 2
 
I mistakenly maximized the MQ2Necro window and can't figure out how to re-size it to what I'm used to. The mouse pointer can't reach any further right to access the drag option. How can I fix this?
 
I don't know if I am the first person to ask this or not... but are you able to make it where your necro will only use rez on your priest classes?

I don't want to burn through my essence emeralds by leaving "use rez" on, but at the same time, a quick battle rez on a recently deceased druid could be the difference between wiping and victory.

no you can not. in mq2paladin we allow for usage of "groupwatch" will then you can do HealerOnly or ClericOnly, I wouldn't be opposed to making this change for nec as well - it is only for in-combat rezzing - but this might help what you're trying to do
 
I run a druid / SK / Mage / Enc / Necro / Bard group... I started using the plug ins about a month ago. They are awesome! I plan on switching the enc out with a BST eventually, but there are pros to having two crowd control in a group.

The reason I asked about the necro rez is that sometimes I can get 3-5 mobs in a bad pull, and my druid may drop before my crowd control gets the adds mezzed. I would like to have my necro rez my druid, but if I turn on use rez, he would do all the rezzing in the group because he is able to rez faster than my druid can.

I have de-leveled some old toons for emeralds, but I am not aware of a quicker easier way to get them to the point where I am comfortable letting my necro handle all the rezzes.

uhh you get EE's by killing blow on creatures, and over haste buffing your pet (modern game)...

Q. I seem to be using a different PyreShort than is available to me?
A. We try and match the PyreShort focus from your Robe. We keep track of the 2 best pyre's you have available and use whichever one of those matches your robe focus.
 
My group has 2 necros in assist mode. I'm running mq2necro as it was "out of the box" with no changes. Everything was fine until they randomly stop assisting and just stand there watching my group wipe. When this happens I put them in manual mode and pause them so I can try to kill the mobs but they are frozen unable to move, zone, or cast spells. /camp desktop doesn't help. I've read the manual, the discussion, I've searched and googled but I can't find anything. This happens randomly, intermittently, it eventually resolves itself, usually after a wipe and travelto the last camp. Can you point me in the right direction?

well you can see you didn't download the current plugins - it *should* but if you have things preventing it like file locking from antivirus or file scanning, then you won't - the image shows you didn't download new plugins
