Question - MQ2Melee Edits?

So,

Noobie here, but I've been editing my Kissassist INI for my toons, but the MQ2melee program that runs, is activating alot of dps discs and burning my endurance and isnt really necessary....

I searched and cannot find the MQ2melee ini file to remove certain disciplines etc from the rotation.

Can someone tell me where to find the editable Mq2melee file?

I personally turn off the mq2melee in kiss, so only kiss handles things for me, you can do that by setting the UseMq2Melee=1 to 0.

Other than that you can read a bit on this page to see what options you can turn on and off, if you start by doing /melee save, then you can find an ini file in your release folder named server_toon.ini so if you on bristle and your toon is named samsticks the ini would be named bristle_samsticks.ini

In your "release" directory, those settings are stored in your ServerName_ToonName.ini file

Also, if you are editing your KA file, make sure you are /end mac and then restarting it (if you are editing while running)

At the time I was just using /mac Kissassist for my support toons, and MQ2 was just loaded on the Main Character (With no KA activated yet) and the MQ2melee was auto-using certain skills. I was hoping to just eliminate skills i Didn't want used.

This is my Main char and I play him while I use KA for the support boxes. But the auto-skill MQ2melee is eating my Endurance unnecessarily.

I want to keep MQ2 Running but remove MQ2Melee autoskill crap while i'm not automating the one toon.

Sorry if I was not being clear, I'm just starting to dive into the details of what to do.

/plugin mq2melee unload

on your main toon.

Also in the plugins forum, there is a post for mq2melee and it states what commands are for what, then you can go into the release folder, scroll down to servername_toonname.ini and in that file will be an entry [melee] and you can edit out the stuff you dont want used.

I just do a “/melee off” on my main toon when I don’t want it running. I often do, though, because it seems to handle discs faster than kiss. I only turn it off on raids ... and when I forget ... YIKES. Lol

if you really wanna turn of the plugin for raid reasons, since melee is just the combat i think downshits might still fire?, you should do /melee plugin 0 or off

“/melee off” turns off all functionality.
