Is mq2 safe to use now adays? Like stand alone?

Simple answer, yes.

If you are just loading the program and using the map features and stuff, you are safe.

Avoid using AFK macro and don't use anything like warp or such, you should be OK. I've used MQ2 mainly for tracking mobs and pc, automating tradeskills, etc.

What they said. If you stay away from the AFK stuff and more of the hardcore hacks (i.e. Warp/GK/ND/Piggyzone) you're more than likely not going to pop up on GM radar.

Although of course if your sensible, you can use some of the hardcore stuff (Again i stress sensibly) and have a chance at not being caught out

Still finding too many players leaving 50 corpses outside instances and GKing in open zones
